He might not....But I do!! Big surprise huh? For a while there those were going CHEAP on ebay, so I started a collection of those too. Didnt post in the "other" collection thread cause they arent Zed. But I have more than a few...a conservative guess would be about 15' worth...lol....love those because they stack end to end so well. Unfortunately if I dont find a decent job soon, those will probably be the first to go up on the chopping block....the 7600's would be last of course....lol Still have those amps?

lol..i think that might be your old neptune cutra....if you keep the same screen names....I know I have bought at least a couple amps from your screen name on fleabay.... I'm pretty sure I have the box for it too... I think the Gen X are some of the most underrated amps....and yeah, the pos cards can be a pain....almost as much as the esx settings. I think the two are somewhat similar with the options, just the Gen X are some what more "manual"....I do like how the GenX light up though...lol

have a few more thors hiding somewhere....was going to use them in an install...but went with some ESX instead....

Thanks...most are either from ebay or craigslist, or back when I used to work in a stereo shop...some were great deals, others, well...lets just say ive been burned a few times. Some I even bought new....but only two....a 7204 and a 7300. Most of what I have pictured works just fine though. I have a ton more of the smaller amps....lots of Autotek 7100's and 7050's...and a few more beasts lurking around... I'll try to get some more pics up today....

Since there seems to be an "old school"(though I personally hate that term FWIW) faction here, I was hoping that some people would post up pics of their old/first systems. I know that when I got into car audio, early nineties....it was pretty much DIY or pay a shop big money. Me being broke I taught myself and eventually got MECP certified. I have had countless systems over the years, but a hard drive crash has left me with only a few pics of some of my earlier systems. So....... Here is my S10 blazer circa 1993....yep ten inch subs for midbass.....didnt work out quite like I planned, but the two 15"s on an Autotek 7300 would pop a quarter about five feet off the roof(flex) of the blazer with the right tone. Ended up selling the 15's and just ran the two tens(and got almost all my cargo space back)....I guess that was the beginning of me getting old. That was my second vehicle...will have to look for a pic of the first...Autotek 7204 bridged on two Orion XTR 12's in a Nissan 720D KingCab wedge box right up againist the seats....gotta love a good back rub.....lol. Few more of a system my cousin and I built around the same time..... Nothing really to "see" since then anyway.....we both had our systems ripped off, everything has been completely stealth since. Though I do have a mind to do a removable quad 15" setup with two Autotek 7600's for my dually toy hauler. It currently has an biamped ESX setup(60.4, 475.1) with Orion NT 8's and 1's, and a prefab under rearseat box with two SoloBaric tens. It's plently loud, great SQ, but a good burp would be fun every now and then.....

Also in St. Charles....didnt know there was that much of a sound scene around here. Ive heard a few "annoying" systems in traffic, but nothing serious. The car shows around here are amazing...I just dont get out much. Stereo shops seem to come and go....guess the internet is killing the brick and mortar. Not that I would buy anything new anyway, well....'cept maybe for some long throw woofers. What can I say, I'm stuck in the 90's and my round KickerSolos do are still doing just fine..... Guess I better sign in here, since I already posted somewhere else first...oops. I have severe GAS(Gear Acquisition Syndrome).... Was MECP certified in High School. Installed throughout college, both home and car. Got out of the game in around 1998.... I collect mostly Zed, Orion, and Phoenix Gold amps...few others like the Alpine 3566, and the Denons with the funky heat sinks.... Also collect speakers...favorites are the JBL "1000watt" pro based drivers, and Orion carbon fibers. Would love to find some of the old Autotek subs....the ones with the BTS logo on the dust cap. I know they arent anything special(regular oem speakers), but just the fact I havent even seen one on FleaBay makes me want a few....lol... Anyway...I hope this fulfills part of my newbie post requirement....I'm pretty sure I have dealt with several of the members here. Us Zed heads gotta stick together.... Nathan

Well I cant let you guys have all the fun..... Had to go dig out some of the bigger zed amps....damn they get heavy after a while...lol. I have a "few" more....but not enough room to display them all...ironically my fav amp is the Autotek 7300, I have at least as many of them as the 7600's, but they are at the back of the "pile". Also have an Aphro to match gen vii atlas'. The thor is just a teaser to the gen x collection. I gotta go through and catalog and bench test ALL my amps anyway....if you all are interested I will continue to post as these beasts come out of hibernation....be warned though....I have as much Orion as I do Zed....might have to see a few "competitors"....heheh oops!!!...how did that last one get in there..... more to come....
