ok so i hooked up my new fi ssd and my kicker 750.1 amp. ok so the problem. when i turn the volume down all the way on my kenwood kvt911 headunit. i still can hear a little bass. then when i turn it up its not loud at allll. i turned the bass up on headunit and still the same thing im soo confused someone please help
  2. yea i kinda have my mind stuck on a ported enclosure i emailed the guy from fi and he said a sealed sounds better but ported is way louder than sealed. i just have a feeling im going to have a hard time making the ported enclosure cause its kind of confusing.lol
  3. i thought about it but i know its not gunna be as near as loud as ported is the 2.2 cubic feet the best for my setup or can i go a little smaller for ported
  4. should i make my port similar to this port. even on the inside go to the last picture on the page http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...showtopic=27495
  5. how big should i go. cause when i changes the port diameter it changed the net box volume does the gross box volume mean cubic feet and what does net box volume mean????
  6. Here is a sheet i made up of the box built. does the gross box volume mean cubic feet and what does net box volume mean i had to adjust the port hole on a calculator to get the net box volume to be 2.2 but the gross box volume stayed the same FI SSD 12
  7. actually the comp mounting depth was 5 3/8 so im gunna have to just figure it out myself but thanks for all your help
  8. so build a new box but for the part the subwoofer goes in use the dimensions from the old box? should i make the length of the enclosure the whole distance of my cab? and the width of the dimensions of the old box should i have ordered the flatwind coil or is the copper coil fine
  9. just put it in my old box? its a atrend prefab i was thinking about just adding onto the box so i can port it but i didnt know if that would work
  10. i had kicker comps in before and the mounting depth was over 7 inches here was the dimentions of my old box top width 5.5in bottom width 8.5 in enclosure width 20in enclosure height 15.5
  11. mounting depth is 6.5 so yea pretty close to 7 with the bucket seats i should gain about an inch or a little less of room
  12. ok heres the measurements with pictures http://i40.tinypic.com/k3w0zl.jpg could probably go a little further with the bottom http://i43.tinypic.com/1zo7tp1.jpg im putting chevy s10 bucket seat in soon and getting rid of the bench seat and idk how much more room thats going to make but as of now on the bottom of the seat to the back of the cab its 9.5 inches, middle is 5.5 inches and the bottom of the window it is 3 inches. that is comfortable driving positoin
  13. alright thanks alot let me go out and measure real fast
  14. alright so how do i figure out what i need with that calculator page and how to i get the sqr cub. to be exactly 2.2
