  1. ohhh too bad i already have a box ...but what's the price to get in as a spectator? i saw a couple prices but want to make sure.. i'm excited to see all these damn cars! There are no entry fee's for spectators, they're only charging to compete. thanks I went to the last 2 shows June 20th n 27th and they were a blast! He really puts on a great, smooth running comp.! Not only is he friendly and easy to talk 2, but so were all tthe other bassheads! there are some crazy installs/cars there that alone make the trip worth it! Hope to see you @ the Boston event and GL! I will def. be @ every event he has! ok that's good to hear! definately (as of now) going to make the trip. can't wait to see all of the crazy installs like the ones on here lol. hoping to learn some things when i'm there. right around the corner if you think about it GL to you also. are you competing? Oh ya I'll be competing N TX for the GL, I'll be the red scion tc w/ soundstream subs hopefully I get my shipment (UPS has a few goodies to get me finally powered properly for my class as I have been competing in the amature 2 class a 2000w group with my little 800w amp woot woot!) Thabks again to NESPL for all tyhe great shows he has been running. Thanks to him SPL comps are back in the north east if i go i'll keep an eye out but that's if i can find coverage for work... and i doubt i'll be able to get it :/
  2. yea wishful thinking once again.. but I figured that's what it meant. I ordered mine on may 14. so on that list of yours I'd hope to see my order be pretty high. (not saying this in a dickhead manner) idk maybe I'm wrong once again. u tell me.
  3. sundown audio is having a really good sale right now. i'd go with the SAZ-1000D for only $280.. only $80 over budget that is a effin deal! and one of the best amps in its class on the market. good customer service and an overall just good company Go With The Sundown
  4. yea idk we'll see.. I check that number everytime I get a chance lol.. good luck with it and definately make a build log!
  5. yea. what he said or do the same with a saz-3500 since the 4500 might be out of your budget
  6. yea then you should be straight... haha but me too.. tomorrow is going to be the longest day of work ever.. not knowing if it came or not is gunna suck lol.. i'll have to wait until my break to see if they delivered it or not.. if it doesn't come this week i'll be sad.
  7. i've been in the same situation man. i know, it sucks! i burnt up my 10" kicker haha.. i know that damn smell and will never forget it! i noticed it the same way and eventually overdrove it... i put the dagger in it when and i decided to add a little bass boost and that's what did it.. i ended up sending the sub a clipped signal.. oh well it was my first everything.. did u happen to change any settings on your headunit or on the amp? as for the remote wire being lose i doubt it but perhaps.. someone will chime in if that could be why.. good luck figuring it out. hope i helped a little.
  8. that's enough for my application i know that.. you still have to do the big 3 and 1 run from front battery to amp in the back right? what's different from mine?
  9. i didn't get to see its peak when i first started it.. that's after it was on for a couple seconds but good luck to us once our saz-2000d's come! lol
  10. i think tomorrow might be the day for me not sure though we will see... but i'm so proud of myself for waiting this long (non sarcasm) you guys should feel good that first time customers and returners are willing to wait.. i ordered my sub on May 14 and i never cancelled or cried i know it'll all be worth it i would never wait for a JL or a Kicker sub or and any other brand at that (maybe 1 or 2 exceptions hah). i know i'm not the only one that feels this way but i figured i'd throw it out there lol... post count is a bonus also jk you guys have something really good.. keep it up!!!
  11. ohhh too bad i already have a box ...but what's the price to get in as a spectator? i saw a couple prices but want to make sure.. i'm excited to see all these damn cars!
  12. So bored as usual I figured i'd post again.. earlier today I used my new digital multimeter to check out the voltage on my totally stock eletrical system. So here's what i got: Car Off: 13.01 V Car On: 13.92 V On with Lights on: 13.90 V On with Lights and AC on full blast: 13.33 V Pretty good numbers but this is with amp off. I'm going to check all of this again once I get my stuff setup and compare. My electrical will gradually get better so i'm going to check it out everytime. I'm going to check out the difference that is made once i complete the big 3 upgrade this Friday... but more pics very soon. What do you guys think of the numbers so far?
  13. haha now that i think of it.. i do.. i just got like 17ft of it in that amp kit that i dont need.. but for the power and ground i'll probably just use 16g rockford speaker wire.. sound good to you? in my opinion i dont think that will be needed but maybe someone else will chime in if im wrong, it is still going to read the voltage of the vehicle the same with either wire. i'm not using the 16g because it's thicker.. i'm only using it because i have a shitload of it laying around haha.. i'd rather do that then go buy some 18g.. that's why i'm making sure its fine.. i like to double check a lot lol
  14. .5 ohms is a bad idea.. just get a kicker kx.2500.1.. will be safer in the long run.. spend a little extra now instead of buying amps now and running them at .5 ohms and frying them.. then you'll really be screwed ORRRRRR. e-mail Fi.. if it's not too late.. and request your order to be changed to the Dual 2 option.. then you can find a cheaper amp that is rated it 1ohm etc etc

  16. yea i'm gunna take a picture of what i'm talking about tomorrow since it's dark here now.. my remote wire sort of snakes behind the dash behind the steering column down to the floor where it shows a little... i can get to it in like two spots which are very close to where i want to mount it... i need to solder some 16g wire to the existing wire on the voltmeter since they're wicked short.. that would be fine right (16g soldered to the existing wire to make them as long as i need them)?
  17. definately definately.. the wire is packed too.. it's not just all insulator.. quality stuff.. but head on down to radio shack.. got mine there only $20.. already tested my voltage and was just about to post results.. and some more pics eventually.. but i need that sub and then i can really have fun do you have a voltmeter by any chance? yeah i have an audiocontrol epic-160 that has a voltmeter on it, right under the radio ohh i see.. i wanted to start installing mine today but i kind of ran out of time.. but where are all of wires wired to? mine has three: red-to connect to 12v constant source, black-ground duh, and blue-to connect to remote wire.. i want to run my power one allllll the way to the back to connect to the end of my power wire for the amp.. and ground---i'll find a spot.... but the remote one is the bitch.. could i just kind of peel off a bit of the jacket of the remote wire running to the amp in the rear and connect it to that? solder it to it right? it should be easy as shit but i think i'm over thinking it lol... let me know thanks

  19. Ok so here's the stuff that I picked up today.. finally. In the pics: - Stinger 1/0 (wicked good deal) - 10ft. strand of Stinger 1/0 for Big 3 - 3 sets of 1/0 ring terminals - Stinger blue LED voltage meter Everything from today. Everything in the amp kit. Also I bought a digital multimeter.. finallllly lol. and i got a new pair of pliers if you noticed em. I was really impressed on the quality of the Stinger wire. It's their new 'Hyperflex' or whatever and trust me it is fleeeeeeeeeeeeeexible!.. it's ridiculous. and I was also really impressed with the fuse holder btw.
