  1. thanks guys! M5, idk why, just becuase, lol.
  2. not glued in yet, just wanted to see what it all looked like. not as many gaps as i thought. glassing it all soon and itll be perfect
  3. couldnt really avoid this, but it will be completely sealed and hidden. all will be good.
  4. i really wanna run IA but i want matching amps...i thought they made one before...any plans on making one?
  5. look nice, these used to be like 18 bux i believe a while ago.
  6. starting to look like something...biggest port i can do...the first 2 pics were before i finished cutting the opening (it was 5" x 26") now its 5.75" x 28.25", for 162 square inches of port. with the port, the NET airspace the subs will see is around 12.5-13 cubes i believe. thats approx. could be less, could be more...
  7. really, really likin' how this is turning out will deal with clearance problems as i go, as i did with everything else on this build, lol
  8. camera was dying, had to take pics fast...hence the blurriness. lol back of the panel, tweets in.
  9. they're all wired in the door panel, then 2 wires running through the car to the amps.
  10. ive learned alot from previous things and im starting to build things correctly, even if i still choose to stuff 8 mids and 8 tweets per door LOL i do really like the look of the panel thus far.
  11. oh yaa... this is probably my favorite part of the build. need to order 10 more mids...lol
  12. i really like how this is coming out, especially since this is the first attempt at making panels. we will see how it comes out when i glass it! the lower circle, in the blue pen, is around where the stock door handle would pop out. the blue permanent marker circle is where it WILL be. pretty damn straight and lined up, some of the tweets are off by like a 16th or less of an inch, but to the eye it all looks centered. i cant complain, becuase the top and bottom of the door panel arent perfectly perpendicular.
  13. im thinking of doing a dip in some how on the top as well, becuase the whole panel will be "raised" out about 1.5", as you said. i do have more room on the top of the panel, that white piece of paper in the pic above is too short, the panel has about 3-4 more inches of height than on that white paper.
  14. oh i see what u mean. theres no wood there. im just going tl glass a very thin layer in that area, over the stock panel.
  15. its been trimmed alot since this pic. i will take new pics today after work.
  16. what do you mean?
  17. lol. i some how need to implement a door handle of some sort on this panel, to pull the door shut...ideas? would have to be at the top somewhere.
  18. i knew you'd be fond of my tweets i do have a crossover for them and im not using the caps, that should make you happy! and i have an EQ too. and theyll only get like 30w or less a piece.
  19. not using these mids, but heres one of the tweets compared to a 6.5" lol how it will be glassed. not sure if i wanna use the grilles or not
  20. door panels...8 6.5s and 8 tweeters per door.. need to get the rest of my 6.5s...
  21. i might, but i already have the speaker boxes for my PC.. m5, not sure on the budget yet. what would u suggest? not a ton as i said its only for tv..no hd dvds, nothin like that...just want something a little better and louder than the speaker bar on the tv.
  22. its actually not bad, when im laying in bed its perfect. no strain on the neck what so ever. sitting in a chair would be, but when i watch tv, its when im laying in bed. i will stick with 2 channel. i figured rears wouldnt work in this situation. since i dont have to spend the extra money on rear speakers, lets throw together a nice (still not too expensive) 2 channel system should i do a DIY setup or what? my desk is right under where the tv will be, with my PC, etc, so i can run my HDMI cable from the PC to the TV, so i can use the wireless keyboard and mouse if i wanna lay in bed and use the computer on the tv. im building my desk soon (after i finish my wall lol) out of partical board, and then covering it in 1/8" or some kind of thin stainable wood grain type birch or something. its just going to be a simple desk, with shelves on top, just something to fit in that corner, the desk i have now sticks past the base boards around the bathroom entrance, etc.. so it wont be much $ or work to build a desk to my specs. im putting some speakers in it too its for my PC though. thats another story LOL..they're some speaker boxes i took apart, just gonna build the same size enclosures, but implement them into the desk rather than having the boxes taking up room
  23. also, those speakers on the tv are removable and will be removed when i mount it, and get a HT system. the speakers resemble an Ass. LOL i think itll look cleaner without them anyways. on a side note, i LOVE the tv.. great tv for the price. (1,099) 1080P.. 42" lcd, etc. out the door it was $1,450 with tax, and a 5 year plan. the plan was 370 bux! but i had to get it, i wouldnt feel safe without getting it, if something goes wrong in a year and 1 day after the manf warr is up, i'd have to pay for it, although reviews on these Vizio's seem pretty good.
