why not? theyre both gonna be crossed over exactly the same... how would i do it then? i dont want to wire right mid1 and right tweet1 to channel 1, becuase the tweet would then get like 150w rms or more.....

becuase 1, the mids are gonna be getting a ton more power than the tweets, so im gonna have a seperate smaller 2ch amp for the tweets, and a big 2ch for the mids. and 2, powering off the HU = no crossover for the rear speakers.

whats wrong with the way im going to wire it? its a 2 ch amp, thats why im putting the Left front and back speakers on 1 channel, and rigth front and backs on the other...

so in general, im looking at around 8 ohm each?

ok i have a pair of these: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.c...tnumber=294-650 and a pair of these: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.c...tNumber=264-422 the B&Cs say 8 ohm nominal, but then it says Re: 5.2 ohms. so that means that theyre actually 5.2 ohms each? and the Seleniums say 8 ohm nominal, but it says Re: 5.9 ohms. im gonna wire 1 B&C and 1 selenium in parallel to ch1, and the 2nd B&C and 2nd selenium in parallel to ch2. at first i was thinking it would make a 4 ohm load per channel, but would it really make a 2.76 ohm load (5.2 ohm and 5.9 ohm) ?

1. i dont have room for a crossover, thats how the problem with the bostons occured, becuase mounting them in the door was really the only place......and i didnt want to run wires up front for power to a crossover. why is it ghetto? its not like im gonna adjust a 3way one anyways all the time. im sure ill be happy with the ones i got.

selling the Pro60's (someone buy them, check my FS thread) putting in B&C 6PEV13 mids (front doors) and Selenium 6W4P 6.5s in the rear. i still am looking for 4 tweets to go with these 4 mids. amps will be a RF Punch P550.2(mids) and a P200.2(tweets) it will be active, but not a "true" active setup if you wanna call it that...i will be using FMOD "crossovers" from partsexpress...2500hz high pass for tweets, 2500hz low pass for the mids: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cf...tnumber=266-288 heres a better layout of it, minus whatever tweets i choose: heres pics of the MDF "rings" i made today LOL....had to make them like this becuase the lower corner barely clears the door panel, im still not 100% sure its going to fit with the mids in, ill try that tomorrow. the rings are 1", and these mids are like 1/4" from hitting the bar that holds the window in place.

i havent hooked these on my pro60's yet, but im selling the pro60s anyways. ill prally try it out first and see. how much do you have your gains up and where you got the HPF set to?

i dont agree. the B&C 6PEV13 is midrange, not a midbass. it only has 0.6mm of xmax, i doubt this has very much midbass at all....

well i sorta like how its sounds...theres no point in changing my mind lol...but to be honest, im just running rear speakers to lower the ohm load, becuase the front mids are 8ohm nominal (5.2ohm) and i dont want the amp running at 5.2 ohms, so the back speakers wired in parallel with the fronts will be about 3 ohm and will be perfect for the amp im running (P550.2)

you guys may disagree with the drivers i chose, but this is what im going with. im selling the boston pro60s, and my jbl 6x9s in the rear, so ill only be adding maybe 70 bux to switch out to this setup, which is now going to be active as well. Front Stage: 2x B&C 6PEV13's Rear Stage: 2x Selenium 6W4P's (OR 2x Selenium 8PW3-SLF's) not sure yet, if the 8s will fit, i might run those. if not, ill do the 6.5s amp for the front and rear Mids: RF Punch P550.2 (ch1 will be the front and rear Left mids, and channel 2 will be front and rear right mids) same with the tweets, except a RF Punch P200.2 amps are like 240 shipped on ebay new for both, not bad. i need tweets though. 4 of them to work with that P200.2 amp. crossovers being use (i know, im taking the easy/cheaper way out, but these should be fine right?) mids: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cf...tnumber=266-288 tweets: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cf...tnumber=266-286 mids will play to 2500hz, and the tweets will be 2500 and up.

8's wont fit. lets start off with tweets. i need 2 tweets, and to compare to what i want, im pretty happy with the boston tweets, so similar to that would be fine. size wise, they HAVE to be a little less than 1.25" depth MAX, and 2" diameter MAX....thats what will fit in my stock tweeter locations.

well the pro60s are going for sale. im just gonna run active, but with something different. not sure yet, im gonna put something together. something louder than the pro60s. not eminence, maybe B&C though. any ideas?

pro60 crossover, the bass from the 15" treo ssx did this...i just soldered it back on, tested it, it worked, put my door panel back on, and it broke again. only the tweet plays. i think it came loose when i shut my door. i guess im gonna have to relocate the crossovers......which means running more wire....

just hooked up one of my 45's on my 2 rear 6x9s in the MINI @ 4 ohm, and with the gains about 1/2 way up, they get loud for the little amp it is. theres no way theyre getting this loud off of the "22.5 w rms" that its "rated" id say its deff doing at least the 80w rms x 2 @ 4 ohm that the birth sheet says. Denim, what did u mean by "RA" line of amps ?
