  1. looking for other monitors similar to this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16824179015 i had that one, sold it...like an idiot...basically i was gonna do a carPC, and that monitor has a 12v power supply, so it'd be easier to wire up in a car (with a dc-dc regulator im guessing?) than getting one with an AC power supply and using a power inverter (what i dont want to do, noise/interference, etc.) are there any other brands that have 12v DC power supplies, around the 15-17" range (wide screen preferably, but if not, 4:3 will have to do) heres a test fit of it in my dash, as you can see, 16:9 would look better, but i could make this one look decent...
  2. well my friend just called...the wall is completely out, except for the false floor, which we decided to take out anyways, becuase we will weld a new false floor out of sheet metal (some of you guys suggested that anyways when we started this wall build) instead of layering up MDF and 2x4s...but its out pics tonight.
  3. ya the running boards are already removed, im most likely going to get running boards from an XLT explorer though, just not putting my ugly fender flares back on.
  4. my friend is. i have tons of pics
  5. pimpedout97x posted a topic in Build Logs
this isnt really a worklog, its kinda the opposite wall v1.2 coming at a later time.......never even heard this one, oh well.... reason for removal: it was in my way to lay frame, and i should have done bags before the wall, but whats done is done. let there be light! trash:
  6. old thread, but heres a decent pic, my camera is in the car right now
  7. so much money put in a car that's going to get driven rarely. and it's barely going to be driveable. It's not meant to be practical. What he's doing is different than what Kenny P. was doing to his regular commuter. Heck, I'd do the same thing with the van, if I had my parents buying me new vehicles... parents bought the explorer, i bought the mini and i pay insurance on it, and gas for both cars, and mods for both cars...
  8. can you find a link? i dont know if ive seen it, if i see a pic, it might ring a bell though.
  9. its all good, i doubt ill have an issue lol...
  10. explroers arent meant to be fast...its not daily anyways...i randomly drive it whenever....so when i wanna jam, ill drive it...mostly i drive the mini tho... with a wall with this much power, and airbags, and shaved handles (solenoids will prally go bad after a while of daily use) chit would break if i drove it daily...and its got 157k miles
  11. ya for 30 each, i think ill get at least 3 per MA, maybe 4...16 batts for 480 bux? cant beat that.
  12. i owned an eclipse cd8445, i agree with you on the wheel lol. i love my pioneer 880. the crossover and EQ and all those features it has is what i like best.
  13. i think thats what ill do. thats prally what ill do, one 12v and one 16v. ill prally upgrade my 12v too since ill have 6 2ch amps on the 12v lol! lol
  14. havent updated that lol. nG- how do the red turbostart compare to a group 31 batt? edit- i just looked on the site, i think the turbostarts are only group 24...but i can get them for 30 bux each used, and im pretty sure theyre in good condition...
  15. well i can get the red turbostart 16v batts for DIRT cheap, cheap to the point that i can buy like 14 for about 400 bux...im not sure of the specs on those vs the blue top, i think the turbos are 650 cranking amps, not sure. so you think 1 batt per would be good on music? vs like 4 batts per? lol jim- my suspension wont break, i have airbags
  16. come on, im just looking for a serious answer, no joking around please.
  17. ok well ive been banned at caraudio.com til the 16th, but that site is gay anyways cuase half the people over there are arsehos and flame just cuase they dont like my speakers, and you guys seem to answer my questions faster and without 20 pages of spam, so im gonna just questions over here from now on lol. anyways, my 4 ma hk4000d's should be here soon, and im wondering what/how many batts, etc i need. i want to do 16v, but im not positive yet. each amp will be ran @ 2 ohm, and its for music, i will *rarely* burp them. i want these amps to last and not break lol. also, does anyone know if the little hk 2 ch amps can be run on 16v on music or not? VJ
  18. u need to know which of your stock wires are the 12v and grounds, etc? www.the12volt.com should have a wiring diagram, id get it for you, need to know what year and car u drive.
