  1. Haha nice. Yea I wear sunglasses. I think windshields on most rail buggies look tacky (just my opinion). I may install one just to see how it looks. Dunno.
  2. the loud part. lol jk. Tampa.
  3. hell yea its fun lol. been driving it around every day!! getting sunburnt in this florida sun lmao
  4. it was like 3 different colors, so i decided today to give it a quick and CHEAP makeover. about $5 worth LOL didnt tape much of anything off, didnt sand or prep, just painted it flat black. wheels, most of the frame, gas tank. looks 10x better than it did. only can see imperfections up close. obviously not gonna stay this way, just for the summer while its good weather to drive it. when its winter and too cold to drive, its getting parked inside, completely stripped, and powdercoated. im thinking of powdercoating it matte black as well, becuase i really like how it came out. i thought black was the last color i'd want (was thinking about something bright to stand out) but to be honest, i really like it as it sits for the most part. i painted about half of it like a Home Depot gloss orange before the black, didnt look bad, but i just wasn't feelin it. what you guys think? plan on lowering it soon too. the only major things that aren't black yet is the exhaust (wanna get that done professionally when i get the frame PC'd in winter) as well as the fan shroud, tranny, diamond plate flooring, etc. welding a roof on the top too (just in the little open section above the seats)
  5. just hit the port with a little sanding. need some more sand paper, gonna try and get the port done this weekend. i dont have much time to work on it lol
  6. never thought of that. ill deff give it a try on the next thing i route!
  7. went over my 1/2" roundover with the new 3/4" roundover bit. money shot!!! slopped some bondo on it, gotta get more tomorrow. wanna sand it down all smooth, no seams from the wood edges, no screw holes, nothing. then im most likely going to paint it black/really dark gray, thinking of using a textured paint, but a VERY thin texture, so its just barely noticeable.
  8. wewt. new bit. 1/2" shank, which meant new router. lol porter cable is the new one, on the right. not a plunge, but oh well. i like it. came with a free laminate trimmer (basically a mini router with a 1/4" collet)
  9. really happy with how this is turning out! i only had a 1/2" roundover bit, im going to look for a 3/4" one tomorow and run over it with that, just to give it a little larger of a roundover.
  10. box looks amazing! excellent craftsmanship!!
  11. thanks. cant wait to get the port rounded over all around, its going to look nice!
  12. foty-fih'z fo da port reason its 1/4" longer than the port is because i still have to make a 1/4" trim piece that goes on the port, so i accounted for that. im going to make that then have robin round over the whole thing. i have a router and roundover bit, but im not the best with a router, so i dont wanna slip and make a bit notch in my port and have to re do it.
  13. after some sanding on the trim panels. hit it with another coat to fill in any gaps the trim panels under the port
  14. IMO its pretty easy, especially on flat panels like that. when the wall is done, the front seats are getting wrapped in Ultra Leather (like 85 a yard or something crazy) but its VERY comfortable haha.
  15. i bought them at lowes, paid more than if i would have ordered off ebay. i think im gonna order those now just so i have them. comes to .18 cents each on ebay, lowes was .68 cents each ... i only bought about 14 though.
  16. bondo'd these up, going to try and cover the whole trim panel in a seamless piece of suede (the port will be a lighter suede than the rest of the trim panel) this is how i made them stay together gonna bondo these today
  17. yea the trim panels will be all in place and covered this weekend. and no i havent glassed yet LOL. i can still get in the box though through the port.
  18. yea, im finishing the box before i start that, or ill start the bags and never finish the box LOL i do have all the parts though, with the exception of fittings and stuff.
  19. this is what behind my port looked like now it looks like this port yes the baffle isnt straight, but i was out of wood. a 1/4" trim panel is going over it so itll look all flush when done. should i put 45s in my port like this? donno if itll do anything soundwise, but it kinda makes it look a little nicer. if i do, theyll be smaller, that was just a 45 i had laying around and i used it as a reference. gotta get a smaller airtank, this bish isnt gonna fit
  20. thanks guys, appreciate it. im gonna finish the port tomorow. i ran out of titebond, lol
