If not then don't make such a worthless reply. well first of i was an audio installer. and have installed various amp and sub combo's. and have worked with alpine type-r subs installs the best install being two type-r 12 in a ported box and a kicker zx1500.1 in to a jeep cherokee dont get me wrong they got nice and loud but compared to my other install of two kicker cvx 12 in a ported box powered by a old school kicker kx1200.1 in a honda accord they seemed louder. to me the type r's are more compared to the kicker cvr's with the type r's being better, but not better than the cvx. So i dont knock alpine at all but comparing the type r to the cvx i would go with the cvx if ur going for spl. And for the person who said comin from the dude with almost everything kicker in his sig the reason why everything is kicker is because my old job had 70% off all kicker products so yeah i forgot to mention my kicker rca's and my kicker 1/0 amp wires and kicker fuse holder with the kicker 150amp fuse....any more reasons to hate? That's installation dependent. haha nice cant go wrong with kicker amps my zx1000.1 birth sheet came at 1200watts its the 06model still going strong today.

I have the same amp pushing my Cvx 15 for the pass two years and now my Re Audio SX 10 and i do not use the bass boost at all on that amp nor on the head unit eq sub still pounds.

why is 2inch port to small? I didn't say it was too small, did I? well in a indirect way by saying awfully narrow, Im trying to have a box designed and just wanted to know, the prefab box i have now has a 1.75inch wide port

Cvx all day over type-r

yeah i have heard the kicker L7's from 10''s in a sealed box up to the 15 in a vented box. The L7 is not bad it has alot of lows but the mids are kinda missing I own the round version of the L7 called the Cvx it gets low and plays mids well but they are to main stream and ppl say they sound like crap but if your looking for deep bass they are not bad at all. I own a Kicker Cvx 15 and a kicker zx1000.1 what? what mids? im talking bout 50hz to 80hz i have my low pass filter at 80hz the cvx picked it up the L7 didnt..
