  1. I thought that was the volume and tunning also until i looked at the link to the picture and noticed the 14" port was the length to the back port wall. hmmm interesting i thought the displacement of the RE Audio Sx 10 version was .15 cubic ft what program are u using to enter the dimesions It is. There is a flaw in RE's program somewhere that throws it off. I have a spreadsheet I set up that calculates it for me. OH then what would be the correct dimension including the port and sub displacement for a 1.25cubic ft box tuned to 34hz?

  4. Okay here is my plans for the box. Let me know what you guys think. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4070/4244859563_6a4d1fcc86_b.jpg Thanks. its small but the specs are 22.5'W By 12'H By 15.5'D Port width 2''W Port Length 14''L it comes up as 1.403cubic ft tuned @ 34.27Hz
  5. oh really i did not know that i'll have to ask them when i start buying the materials
  6. that was my only concern how to cut out the subwoofer hole i live in a apartment i'll will see if homedepot can cut it out for me. Also would it make any difference is the sub is mounted on the top portion of the box and the port on the back plate since its a L shape ported box or is it better to have sub and port on the same side? Im just concerned with the box sliding and the sub getting poked by one of my three hooks i have mounted in the rear of my hatch.
  7. Yeah im playing around with the Box Calc on RE Audio Website right now the only thing im confused on is the box vol i got it to 1.43cubic ft before the sub displacement of .15cubic ft. but i do not now if that 1.43cubic ft includes the port volume. Yeah that volume on RE Audio is calculated with the port volume displacement included. Tune your box a little lower if you want some lows, anywhere from 30-35Hz (daily driving tuning frequencies). Yes you can get your wood cut at Lowes or Home Depot for like 25-75 cent a cut I believe, that is what I will be doing since I havent bought any tools since I been home from college. o really thats good i think i found out the right size 1.405cubic ft tuned to 34hz so i can feel the lows since i mainly listen to rap bass music(Bass Patrol/ Dj Billy-E) and slowed down music. What other materials would you recommend. All i Have at the moment is drill and some fine thread 6x 1 1/4" drywall screws.

  9. Yeah I have thought about building my own box but i do not have all the tools to, my main concern would be cutting the wood unless i can get the people from home depot to cut it for me. I have a drill, screws, wood glue.
  10. I just brought a Re Audio Sx 10 being powered by a kicker 06zx1000.1 right now I have it in Mtx Bass Slammer Ported box 1.5cubic ft @ 38hz and the lows are missing to me, I found a custom built box that is 2.0cubic ft net volume tuned to 32Hz. But looking on reading the manual that came with the sub Re says a ported box between 1.0cubic ft @35hz to 1.25cubic ft @34hz. The Question I had is if i put this sub in a larger box thats tuned lower would it hurt the sub? the car its going in is a 4door hatch back.
  11. Hello im wondering the same i found a box for the Re audio Sx 10'' version 2.0cubic ft tuned to 32hz. and the Re site recommends a 1.0 to 1.25 per sub @ 34 - 35Hz. when i look at videos on youtube people seem to be installing there Sx's in larger boxes.

Thanks, Lamar
