  1. on a side note i installed my first carputer today...pretty cool once twas all set up....if i could find some sort of advanced sound processing application i may be inclined to get down on that in the wifes car
  2. indeed we shall see what i can conjour up You haven't modeled it yet have you... no sire i have not i had planned to get on it tomorrow if work was slow

  4. so after some adjustment and the ride home i rescind my last statement to say that i am truely happy with the rli8s output and overall response.....tis not the flattest in the world but tis what i gave up to have the lowend extension i wanted i may test them out in something with a qtc in the realm of .7 but im not sure yet
  5. rli8 output is pretty impressive in .5ft sealerd each still gonna try the single ported though
  6. so i got the pair of rlis in today in .5ft3 sealed each pretty happy with them and im considering running a single ported instead of the pair hmm
  7. yoskie
  8. By some space constraints I think you stuck with sealed. IMO they sound way better sealed though, but I am also far from a basshead. The real question is how much space do you have? *a single RLi8 ported takes way more space than an RLP sealed. WAY i have two drivers and 37.5 x 11 x 11 to work with Sealed is your only choice. I'd shoot for .4cuft per driver. well since i got two and 600w should work out 600w to the pair? you could go even bigger than 0.4 each with that little power and be fine yup yup 600 for the pair

  11. They were originally in about 0.25 cube each with about 450w rms each. Definitely lacked low end. Now they're in about 0.35-0.4 cube each with the gain on the 1500D all the way down. The low end is there now and they sound quite good. the way these things are modeling that may be the way i have to go as i dont see any possibility of me getting the tuning and port area i want in the space im confining myself to
  12. beat i would like to port them but i dont think space will permit me two with where i want to tune them and my desired port area
  13. I believe it was .5ft^3 tuned to 47hz. I used industrial plastic wrap tubes for ports The sealed was .5ft^3 too if im not mistaken how was output in the .5ft3 sealed and how much power? and how was the low end in the ported
  14. what size and tunings have you used?
  15. ok i need with rli8 experience to convince me wether to port or seal this bishes with some space constraints
  16. someone talk to me about rli8s gosh darn it im bored
  17. oh yeah got me a brand new computer for free from the parents
  18. they are quite impressive...output is pretty substantial considering its in a convertible and sealed and tis pretty musical all things considered
