Didn't have time to mess around with it last night though . I'm gonna check it out at lunch time and see if the fuse is blown or something <{POST_SNAPBACK}> cool beans

  12. alas, morning to you as well!! well, at least MD is attempting to encourage one to aquire his/her own knowledge while providing the basis for such. liek i mentioned in that thread over there, we've had one MD MECP certified moron come through our shop as well. dude thought he knew everyhting about car audio. he even ragged on one of my enclosures. not that i'm perfect or anything, but i take pride in what i do, and this guy had the nerve to tell james (wouldn't say chit to my face until i asked him about it, then he backtracked a bit) that he could've done it better, faster and made it prettier. this is the enclosure in mikey's lincoln i have yet to post pics of as they are still on my phone..lol...funny thing is, this dude couldn't build a basic rectangular enclosure in 4hours, let alone have it carpeted or installed. and if he got it done that fast, wowo, unflush edges, really ugly cuts for the subs, and i'd wager if you put a tape to it, it wouldn't be square. i'm not camp ray ray, (props to our newest member's shop there), but damn...lol... anyway, he's at best buy now. dude broke an alternator mounting bracket on an 2002 escalade. that was the last straw as it dented the dude's hood when it came off, destroyed his fan, and his iraggi alt. the owner of this 'lade is not a guy you want pissed at you..lol...and he's one of our best customers. so the MECP guy hit the road. wow, that was a long ass ramble... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee <{POST_SNAPBACK}> when i first got out i thought the same way honestly that all changed when i started working of course and realized that experience was worth alot. It was at this point i realized i needed to always try and further what i knew. I didnt get to actually build an enclosure until roughly a year after i got out of MD and man was it disgusting carpet job was hideous and it took me forever to get it all together...thankfully i had money for wood and much free time to get to building more and more enclosures until i finally got them right. But yeah i do think that the majority of people that come out of MD will be initially arrogant as while you are the MD does basically pump themselves up alot as the best school out there so the students will view themselves as the best when they get out. I bet money that if the guy that was at your shop has any common sense he learned from his mistakes and is now doing much better because i think it takes a real world experience to humble a person as it did for me. i've never even read the 1st edition..lol.. one day i'll get a copy i guess... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ive been meaning to get one for a long time but dont feel like throwing $40 at it and there are a couple of 6th editions on ebay right now
  13. morning and yeah i still need an amp
  14. anyone know how big the difference of information between the 6th and 7th editions of the loudspeaker design cookbook?
  15. the whole thing about it is while at school they tell you they will not teach you everything simply basic installation and a little of FG but they give you a base to build your own knowledge which he obviously has not done yet is relying on mobile dynamics as the source of all of his wisdom....gottta love it morning btw
  16. he was already basic cert when we got there and he made sure we all knew that he didnt need the class that he was spending $3k on
  17. http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=178469 same guy jntar had the little spl comp with the 6" midbasses yeah i went to school with him and he was exactly like he is onlin he knows all noone knows anything else refused to admit he was ever mistaken about anything. Everyone in the class hated him and we and the instructors were glad he didnt stay the full 8 weeks as they made some comments after he left. I wouldnt have realized who he was had db not recognized me in his MD graduation pic in his profile.
  18. indeed i havent read any of profilepower's speeches but i have some free time i might go do that now.. but that quote would not have been as funny had it not come from an "spl competitor"
