I got JBL GTO 1514 single voice coil 4 ohms. 350WRMS, 15 inch. It came with manual and says Vbox 3.50 ft3 Fb 30.0Hz, so is this box tuned to 30hz ? Im thinking of making new box and i really need ideas how to improve my SPL. I want to try different box, something like this: At the moment i just have vented box with round pipe. but i want to make something like in the picture, so how can i calculate box size ?

Maybe you blew your sub, not 100% sure but sounds like it.

i heard that when running 500W RMS+ its good to use 0 gauge.

my gain is set about in the middle, i set gain by ear. and my amp is rated to 500W RMS @ 4 ohms, but i dont know how much sub is actually getting :/

Licenses in here cost around $670, and now i have to bay extra $50 to redo my exam. I could have new tweeters with that money

I used to have loud button on, yesterday i made new settings to my HU with loud button turned off. i playied some track and had that little smell. The sub is 2 months old. I went out today to do some testing again, but this time i didnt have any of that smell. ill just keep my eye on thtat thing and let you know.

well i was playing some new tracks and then i opened my trunk and felt weird smell from woofer, it's playing great but there is some kind a smell, like glue is burning or something, and dust cap gets a little bit warm, am i pushing it too far ? I got 15" JBL rated 350W RMS running it @ 4ohms 500W RMS

i'm getting there still thinking of getting 2x12 woofers, but not 100% sure yet, there is nothing good available in my area at the moment. maybe if ill have some money left over ill install big 3. Trying to get pictures as soon as possible.
