Please build a DD Z killer! Fi FTW! We`ve got some proud DD owners, and they make fun of my Fi.

I allready have 2x150W....I wan`t more quality, more SQ from an amplifier for my mids, not pure power:P. I was told that the JL is very good for a ""SQL"" aplication(i know it`s a forbiden word:P), something like loud and clear, not true SQ....what can you tell. Yap, i`m from europe, good damn the shipping`s costs.

Hy, I want to upgrade my midbass amplifier (focal 165k2p) and I don`t know wich one is better for my set up (alpine 9835, focal k2p mid, hybrid L1 Pro tw). The Hybrids are moved by a small Zapco Z50S2. Hello again, Now it`s the time for some SQ after some flexxin` (ex: and hihi ).After 6 months of BoomBoom and re-listening to some local SQ cars(some brax users, scanspeaks, focal, microprecision etc) I bought from a friend (who upgraded to microprecision) a set of Focal 165 K2P woofers and HybridAudio L1 Pro tweeters and an Alpine 9835. Now I`m sounddeadning my car, especialy my front doors with 1layer of SS Damplifier Pro+Spectrum Sludge+Damplifier+OverKill pro. Amps: HAT L1pro: Zapco Z50S2; Focals: Premier; Fi Q15: US Amps XT4000(1500W@1ohm load). What enclosure should I build for an SQ setup....a 2cuft or...2.5-2.6 cuft? The subwoofer is behind the front stage, is not quick enought in this 4cuft@32hz BR box. Thanks.

UP; does anyone have an enclosure project made by Scott for this speaker? I know that a few guys on this forum have the 30hz tuned enclosure designed by Scott; I want to try it too, so please, post it here, or email it at [email protected]

Im just wondering. In my next van build, i should just order some boss or wolfenhags or somthing to test with? Sure, any subwoofer can be loud in the correct enclosure. Don't make me go and dig up the 150db video with Sony Xplode 6x9's. Yeah, I wanna see that video too.

I have the XT4000, but if I could afford, i would have bought an US Merlin MD2. Go for the MD1, if you can not afford the MD2. Keep in mind that Merlin and AX ar US Amps high end series, and that MD`s are "bridgeable with multiple MD amps". XT is not!

I really love Focal sound, even if it`s Polyglass series, they do sound nice. In the right set-up, they can be a true SQ system.

If my dealer accepts, I`d probably pay another 100$ for that.

I want to build a box that will flex my car, just4fun; it`ll play Put on, white girl, bets4myvan etc. I`ll keep it for a month or two, after that i`ll start to listen to music like jazz, jean michel jarre etc; so i`ll cut the port or i`ll build a closed enclosure. I don`t really know if I want it low or loud, but I certenly know that I dont like high loud bass.

Yes you are right, but it`s class D vs class DE, so wtf is class DE; couldn`t find any info on google. Is there a US Amps representative here?

I don`t want to start a new topic, so I`ll post here: does someone know for sure if there is a difference between US Amps XT4000.1 and RE Audio XT4000.1V2. The new RE A. XT4000V2 is Class DE, the US is Class D. Can someone explain me the differences between classes and these two amplifiers? US Amps RE Audio

I talked to my US Amps dealer and he told me that I have the second version of USAmpsXT4000, and this one really does 1500@1ohm. Is that true, there were two versions for this amp? PS: No, I don`t have the RE XT4000.1V2, i have this one: link

Hy, on my XT4000 box it says CEA, is it CEA rated? It is an US Amps, not the new RE Audio XT4000.1. I want the CEA ratings for this amp please.

Back againg after some research. I have decided to buy the US Amps XT4000. Now I need a box for my Fi. My new goals are: to play very loud and as low as possible. For now I want to play some low rap, some chopped and screwed; in the future i`ll build an closed box and start building a nice front stage. ....how low cand u go....
