  1. The way my kicks are setup there is plenty of ventallation behind the panel =) Do you know what the mounting depth on those beasts are. Hopefully no more than 5"s.
  2. What would you recommend throwing at them for power? I am bridging my sax100.4 so I have plenty of power to give =)
  3. Ya so do I. I will probably go with these then. If I do not like them. Oh well it beats spending 400+ on a set. Thanks!!!!
  4. So the way I have it now will not work. How can I enclose the area? Will these sound good for what I want them for. Like I will be able to hear the words and whatnot correct?
  5. Alright we have some good news! WEVE GOT PLENTY OF ROOM!!!!! To get the 14"s we are going to move the box up by 4"s. You are more than welcome to use the extra space to our advantage. We still have 41.25"s of height. The width is fine for the most part. We have with the doors off. From end to end On the bottom - 58"s 16"s up - 60"s 24"s up - 62"s Notches at the window pillar at 26"s - 63"s At the window pillar at 35"s - 58"s At the top - 50"s Let me know if this is still doable. Thanks and Josh has been raised to be a carpenter so we can most likely do the diamond if needed.
  6. Would those daytons be a lot louder than the iDs? The iDs have a sensitivity of 92 and take 150 rms. These have an 86.5 sensitivity and take 280 watts rms. I know when it comes to subs you have to measure other stuff besides sensitivity. How would they perform in my kick as they are not completely sealed off in the back?
  7. CSS was recommending up to 500hz, but I'm going to see if I can push the envelope and get another half octave out of them The Trio8's are what I'll be (attempting) to use with my horns. There are some pro drivers that will give you a ton of "snap" at ~100hz and up, but crap out below that. I've heard good things about those XS mids, haven't heard them myself however. I was considering them but I'm a cheap bastard & didn't want to spend the coin. Ya I do not wish to spend the coin either. I just want everything done the correct way so I figured might as well match them up right. Let me know how the trios go for you.
  8. Alright. Josh and I are going to measure tomorrow and see where we end up. Thanks for all your help and insight.
  9. ahaha so were most likely going to try and go for the 18s. How much of a difference if we cannot go all the way back to the hump with that. I am pretty sure we cannot but we can get 14"s im sure.
  10. What would the difference be on music between 4 15s and the 4 18s?
  11. Would this be louder than if I were to have 4 15s? If so how much or how less
  12. I am almost positive I can squeeze 3 on each side. This is just the front correct? What about near the window though?
  13. What would the port area be?
  14. I guess well have to go with 4 15s =( I already bought the 4 sundown 1500s so That will have to do =( Sounds terrible considering I wanted the 4 18s. There is no possible way to make the port length longer by extending the box to the back more?
  15. Ya as long as they are SSA products and can be doable with 4 sundown sax1500s then we are golden. The 18s would have just been delish to look at because they are gargantous =) Whatever you feel will do me best. Thanks!!!!
  16. Ouch! Well that obviously is not going to be cutting it. What if I were to go 8 of the 12-15" Icons? Would the port area needed be smaller? If not what can we do to make just a regular box? What will it look like? The reason I liked the wall idea was because it sealed everything off and would have made everything look nicer.
  17. Also what is the proper amount of port we should be using for this box?
  18. There is no possibly way to meet the proper port area? We cannot make a t port or have the port on the top bottom and through the middle?
  19. Why can we not build a t port or a combo or a regular port and aero port? What is the lowest tuning frequency you can tune the box to? We need to build a wall lol! Its a must!
  20. Alright. I'm probably going to just get the iD 6x9s. They were intended for those horns so I might as well do it right. Thanks for the input guys but I cannot sacrafice that much midbass. Yes I am a midbass fiend and most of the music I listen to involves no words
  21. How much do you consider foregoing a little midbass?
  22. Well Sean I think you know what I am looking for and my restrictions. What would you recommend as far as brand and model to meet my specifications.?
  23. I do not have too much room behind the kicks. The 4 inch mounting depth was kind of snug. Those ids should be able to get pretty loud with a 92 sensitivity and can take more than 150 rms according to the techs. Is there a sub that you would recommend for midbass? I was thinking about putting a sub in the kick if I can find one about 5" mounting depth. The only problem like you said is sensitivity. I cannot fit over an 8" driver in the kicks as that is already going to be a struggle.
  24. But for another 100 wouldnt the ID 6x9s be worth it? They were made to compliment the id horns. Which would be more midbassier, if that is a word. And also how much of a difference would there be in midbass?
  25. I can probably fit an 8 in the kick. Would those b&c 8s do work? The sensitivity is incredible on those. Will the xcon 18s play good at around the xover point I need? What will those b&cs run down to around 70 hZ without loosing quality?
