its at 1 ohm, i havent bought n e fans for it yet but i am going to soon, my alt from excessive amperage is garbage so i bought a 260 from iraggi ... if i dont have my foot on the gas it will go into protect because of voltage drops into the low 10s ... the charging system shouldnt cause the amp to get hot like that tho right?

well im sure he needs the 18s so he can use the box hes getting. I'd recommend a recone to 18" btls if you have all the options added onto them. what are the specs on that box?

if you are going to have 2 different sized subs in your car it is going to sound accoustically retarted even if you were to install a proper bandpass and low pass filter=)

u know what?!?!?!!? that might be it!!! i remember it said something about checking the gas cap when the car was just turned on and not running and i just pressed reset. i have had that problem before also. hopefully that works!!!! thanks

for some reason my check engine light came on today while driving to work. i think there is something in my system to blame as i just installed it a couple days ago. last time it came on the negative terminal came off the battery so i put it back on and the check engine light went off. now it is back on and i looked and the negative terminal is securely connected. the engine seems to be a little sluggish now as well. what could it be?

for some reason the amp for my subs is getting incredibly hot . I dont understand why though as the gains were set correctly and no bass boost has been engaged. I found out that the plexi glass that i had placed over the amp was making things worse so i took that off ... it is still getting pretty hot however ... i do not know if it is getting adiquate cooling as it is under a false floor but because i took the plexi off it over 3/4s of the amp is revealed ... my 4 channel amp seems to stay cool but the mono is getting hot ... they are both power series amps (t8004 and t40001bd) ... what is the remedy and is there any ways to keep the amp cool?

i am trying to fit 8 gauge in the push button terminals on my subs ... how do you recommend i fit it in there? .... you need to put 2 strands on some terminals and i cant stuff them in there tight enough... should i solder them together and then push them in or is there something i am missing

i had to solder some connections last night and i melted my finger ... no more feeling in my left fingers for a while ... o well at least if i go to jail i have no finger print just some sweet circles from the iron's shroud

i know this is a stupid ? lol ... if i have the bass boost off on the amp then will the bass boost knob up that comes w the amp work or is it just worthless?

can anyone answer this ... i planned on tuning everything tonight ... will my bass knob be useless if bass boost is off? ... i wanted to use it because most music sounds like crap when the lows are that loud

i think he means that he tuned it with his bass knob all the way up and the bass boost where he wanted it and then tuned the gains

say i have the bass boost off and i adjust my knob ... will there be any difference?

well i was looking at the ts-w3002d4 graph and it peaks at around 45 hz and that is also where bass boost is engagued ... would this be where i want to tune my box to? it seems awfully high

when tuning an amp without the bass boost on you tune it right before the amp starts to clip ... so if you increase the bass boost wont it make the amp clip or am i missing something?

just wondering how to find out what frequency to tune a box to? do you base it off fs?

do you see how there is very little height between the roof and the top of my sub box? ... will this eliminate alot of bass that will come up front compared to having four facing up with the box reaching the top of the passenger seat?
