  1. Alright, my step mom wants a small stereo in her car, but she wants to keep the factory HU. Can all amps be wired to a factory HU or only certian ones? Ive never done a install with a factory hu. Heres what i got so far. My price line is ~500 Hifonics zx8000 5 channel amp 240 Id10 v3 100ish kunkonceptz wire ~45 Im gonna up grade the front speakers but I still need to see whats going to fit before I do. They want drop in replacements no modding of any sort. Also is there a 3 channel amp out there with the 3rd channel being a sub cannel? Its a 2003 Sebring convertable. I have the space under where the top goes to work with. The ID 10 sealed will fit there no problem. I guess my biggest problem is not knowing how to wire the HU to the amp, if its possible. Anyone got any insight?

  10. Fonzi replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
Strike one against that at Tech is that, well, it's a technical/ag-oriented school Strike two is that where there are large amounts of girls, such as frat parties, there are greater amounts of sausage. I've given up on frats here, I've had much better luck going to small parties at friends' apartments...the numbers are a lot smaller, yeah, but it seems to work out better <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I completely agree. Im in a frat and after 3 years ive turned more towards small parties. They usually consist of my real close friends in the house and our outside friends. Our frats are not expensive compared to some either, no 700+ dollar dues, no fancy houses. Infact our house is a small POS!

Yup - because there's nothing I like to do better than hang around with a bunch of drunk guys in pink shirts and khakis... If I ever find myself in a frat, dear lord... :gayfight2: <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They must be way different at your school! Most at my school are not like that at all. Parties at my school are usually dominated by girls so the parties are not that bad.

Thanks for the info! My father used to own a couple garages so I do indeed have some experience with the computer side. Home and personal computing is another story, but I am VERY familiar with the Snap-on scanner, have limited experience with the Tech2 and Ford's STAR I believe it is called. My buddy worked at a GM dealership and I've been able to have access to some dealer equipment the normal public is not priviledged to. The funny thing is, I've yet to rebuild a carburetor, but I know my way around EFI very well. Sign of the times I guess. I'm done BSing and when I do something, it's all or nothing, so hopefully, I can follow in your footsteps and excel in school, then follow that into the industry. ON a side note, BMW and Mercedes are offering programs where if accepted, they will put you through school, pay for your tools, and offer a starting salary of minimum $75K. That's tough to beat even spending $30-$40K on schooling. Hopefully my venture with Toyota will prove promising. I personally feel they are going to be pretty much taking full command of the automotive industry in the next 10-15 years. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Your exactly right with BMW and Merc, I was trying to not be cocky, I was offered upwards of 80+ after going through their traning programs. But the ability for me to make 100+ was very easy with the business degree tacked on top. As for scan tools, if you can use the snap on then you have about 95% of everything you will run across covered. Manufature specific ones can get into tweaking the cars computer. I never got that deep with Stars, or tech 2's. As for carbs and working on them, thats great fr personal recreation, but like you said EFI is what you need to know. BMW culd careless if your a carb master, they want you to be able to tech the problems out of EFI. Just take it seriously and do good and the doors will open themselves for you. A degree is worth its weight in gold just simply for the dorrs it will open for you if you take it seriously. I did and ive excelled beyond anything I possibly thought I could do in life. My next goal is to get into Princetons MBA school Thats gonne be a longshot and a half.

Money is Money, it comes and goes. I dont think a dollar amunt should be tagged to a ring. Personal preference should be. Does she like large stand out stones or does she like smaller more reserved stones. Some women dont like the attention a large ring brings. I personally love Diamonds and would have no problems putting 2+ Karrots on her finger but my GF dosnt like big rings. So to me there is no use spending the money if she wont like it!!!

Tire sorry I had to leavee abruptly and go to denver when I was writing my last post. What I found with auto school. Most of the kids that I went to school with were excellent wrechers, most had been doing it all their life. That was not the case with me, I jumped into it because I had noidea what I wanted to do out of HS. The biggest thing I learned was the recruiting companies were very concerned about how someone was with the computers and electronics in the car. Whether is was a Tech 2, Snap on Scanner, or the other manufacture scan tools. Alot of the kids I went to school with were dumb, plain and simple. Most of them didnt catch on to the computer orientied stuff that I did. When it came time for recruiting I was highly sought after from some of the higher end companies like BMW, Mercedes because those are so electrical and sensor orientied. 7.50 is candy money they were talking along the lines of 50k+. I killed my automotive school, I graduated top of the class, and the one thing that everyone told me to do was get my business degree which is what im doing now. I guess if my rambling can say one thing is master the computers, all of them you can get your hands on. There are a ton of people that can change parts or rebuild an engine, but most of them have no idea how to use the computers and if they do they dont understand the numbers that are going on behind the screen. Just my experience with it.
