What exactly does this do to the amp? Also are the prices listed on the website the actual prices? I've never looked into these amps before, and they look real nice!! Ive been looking at the Duece amp, heard nothing but great things about them.

On the converstion on manufaturing costs. IF one of the guys at sound device dressed their whole car with certain companies they would get about 70% off of Retail. They also didint have to put any stickers on their cars. He said kenwood was one of the compaines that gave this promotion. He said the one in Tampa area is closed now or drasticly reduced.

I agree with everything said! Zed would be killer! I think this industry is lacking competent people in the store fronts, it sucks a lot of people that dont know about the internet have to walk around misguided, or only clued in on what their local shop sells. The sales force at local shops may know thier products well but dont have a true passion for this industry enough to know about this whole "online world" I was at a wedding today, and a guy there was from Tampa Flordia. He worked at a store called Sound Advice, they sold upper middle stuff, xtant, eclipse, kicker, JL, Alpine. He knew his chit within those product lines, but when I said RE, DD, Sound Splinter, etc...he looked puzzled. He knew about TC sounds but SS was a mystery to him. I just wish all the sales force took car audio as seriously as we do and didnt just take it as their summer job they happen to get. If this was the case then we wouldnt have kids running around saying their Mtx 6000 series subs are the second best you can buy and only the 9500 series is better. I dont know about some of you but Im not a big fan of going into a lot of random audio shops because I hate the hassle. I hate the pitches, I hate that when I talk about what I have, they say their 199.95 Kicker comp VR is a SQ sub and its worth every penny. I understand the why prices are like that but I just cant stand the inhernt lack or wrodly car audio knowledge they have. Another thing we need are decks with big ass 100x4 amps built into them so we can run all of our internals on that and just worry about a sub amp Oh and Wireless components would be cool too j/k on the last two!!

My buddy did that with tin foil in a maxi fuse box. He had a JBL 1200.1 and kept popping the 80 amp maxi, it was late and he used tin foil. That was real ghetto, he ended up melting 2 of the 4 fuse slots on the block.

I am on the complete opposite end of that spectrum, steve knows I vent all my job problems to him, I have just shy of 200 credits, 3 degrees, and am about to start my doctorate, and I am stuck forever in this Catch-22, I cannot get the job with out the experience, but wait I can't get the experience without the job, I bust my tookus in school, I wish employers would understand I would do the same for them, and I cannot let myself take an "entry level" job, it would not be enough to get by to pay for school and pay bills, no room to save any money at all sorry, dont mean to vent, and don't worry I probably wont post in here for another week or so again , was unable to get to my computer for a few days and I missed you guys <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Touchy subject, but that piece of paper is worth its weight in gold. I found when it comes to jobs and oppertunities its all about connections through school or family. Though you may start at the bottom you will move up much quicker.

lol I dont know if I would have ever thought of doing that! One of the most ghetto things ive done was use a Cord from a lamp to test a speaker. Just cut the plugg off and wired it on. That was real ghetto.

That is pretty ghetto, but they whatever works for the time being. I mean hell last night I had a 8ft wire grounding my HU to the Battery just to make sure it wasnt a bad ground. That looked real ghetto

I happen to own the upgraded model (the A series). Do you not like eD the company, or eD's products? Because personally, I'll never deal with Ben again, but I have no qualms about their product...it's a killer LSQ sub. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They jerked me around for a real long time on getting the subs. I had ordered 2 of the flat cone O's from them. They were suppsoed to ship out the next day, got them 2 months later. Nothing but bad experiences on the phone with them, kept saying next week, next week. This was prior to the huge blow up with Loyd, Josh and everyone else. That just reiterated my thoughts I already had of them. I just want to level one of their subs and post the video on icix titiled What I think of eD customer service. But from what ive heard their new subs are out of the ID build house, so it wouldnt surprise me if the new ones are good!

If you take a shotgun to that sub...you better come with more weaponry when we come around How could you not like the Nomex... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Do you happen to be a fan of that sub? I just dont like eD that much... If I was in colorado I would put the Full auto silenced uzi to it. That would be a good one for the Realm!

I was thinkin of a L5 but i didnt know if they really liked sealed enclosures. Hell even a Punch Hx2 can still be gotten these days and I still say they are a great sub for what you can get them for on the net. They take lots of abuse.

I decided to go the ghetto route. I popped the Power atenna wire out seeing how my car dosnt have one and im going to use that for a the remote wire. I just need to figure out where the remote wire goes on alpine connectors
