  1. hey bro, all of those are good choices from what ive heard. i personally have a 18" fi q with the bp power option and it is amazing! it picks up highs and lows, and i have my box tuned really low. my every day box is tuned to 28 hz and it picks up almost everything and slams it out with authority. i would def recommend the q to anybody. just make sure u get it in a good box, whatever it is that u get.
  2. check what? that it works? or that it will push the sub? if it turns on and pushes the sub at all it will definately push it, if it doesnt turn on then obviously it wont push it lol. hook it up and plug the sub in. make sure u set ur gain right and it will b fine.
  3. if it works i think u got a pretty good deal but it doesnt retail for 700 bucks...u can get it brand new for 270...but u payed 50 so u got a good deal.
  4. yea it will push it just fine. that amp rates at 250 rms per channel so just bridge it and u will b at ur 500 watts rms for ur sub. make sure u wire the sub 2 2 ohms
  5. wut sub did u say it was gonna b pushing?
  6. dang bro, wut program do u use to make those boxes?
  7. not enough information...we need the model number.
  8. hmm...i wouldnt think that would make that much of a difference, but man it did. i dont have a meter so idk the exact amount but it moved my girlfriends hair quite a bit. n before it never did. screw it, as long as its better i have no more questions lol. does the power handling go down any? like should i turn down my amp or is it fine where its at?
  9. huh, how much do u think the tuning frequency changed? the box it tuned to 28 hz, and is 6.3 cubes.
  10. so i inverted my 18" fi q today and have the motor sticking out...it is alot louder. i can now do a hairtrick, which is what i have been striving for lol, my question is....why does it make it louder? is there any theory behind it or is it something that just is?
  11. well i wanna use pvc bc i dont have alot of space in the back of my car and i figured the bigger the better right? thanx bromo and old school. i will post picks when i get it done
  12. first off i have an 18" fi q with the bp power option and a hifonics 1610d amp. its in a focus, and it will b in a 7 cubic foot box hopefully, but my question is that i want to use pvc ports instead of the normal slot port, i used the winisd program, but either im an idiot, or its really hard to use. i put in my t-s parameters for the q and then i set it to 7 cubic feet and put the tuning at 28 hz. then i changed the porting to round and put in that i wanted to use 2 4" ports. it says they need to be 9.25" each. is there nebody out there that can check that for me to make sure its correct? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanx.
  13. it only works for slot ports tho.
  14. check out the re calculator...it lets u punch in basically everything u want and then gives u cut outs...i built my box like that and it came out great.
  15. i think u can get the kicker zx1000.1 on ebay for cheaper than the fosgate, and the kicker is definately a good amp.
  16. the advantage to using aero ports is it doesnt take up as much space inside the box, so u basically have a bigger box on the inside, n get the same port area and tuning frequency.
  17. sri to thread-jack but ku40, how do u find out what kinda pvc ports to run? i gotta small car and wanna build a box that is 35" wide 22" tall and 20" deep. i beleive that it come out to be 7.343 cubes, not including the 18" fi q and the ports...what would i need for the pvc ports to tune it to about 28 hz? also, would just using pvc from ur local menards work?
  18. 2 whores 1 gulp? lmao
  19. enclosure plays a pretty big role in it, just give it rms like said above n i guarentee u will b happy.
  20. guys...they have lives...not everything revolves around this website...just be happy they are giving away free stuff. just wait, when they are done they will let you know.
  21. please read the noob guidelines and then repost.
  22. Bp Power - This option adds a machined aluminum compression plug to the pole which helps channel all of the air under the dustcap around the coil for better cooling. To aid with this increased airflow we also add 6 axial cooling channels in the top plate. Along with increased thermal capacity comes the addition of an extra spider and a changed spider pack. All of these features increase power handling from 200-500 Watts depending on the application.
