DODGE CALIBER
well my car has a stock mounting location in the dash up by the window for tweeters but they were not offered in my model. I would like to place them there but i don't know how to get them the wires there. I was considering having a car audio shop do it but i kinda like doing my own work because its a learning experience but i don't wanna tear stuff up. since i know the people at the shop i may see if i can help with the install so i can know how to do it later.

so even though the speakers are both by your feet they still sound better than a coaxial speaker

does anyone have experience with polk audio 6x9s? I'm going to upgrade the door speakers soon and want to know what coaxial would be best.. i know a component system would be preferable but idk if i want to go through the trouble.

i messed up when i built the port and made a few miscalculations and my port boards aren't behind my baffle board and i didnt seal it properly and i think the tuning is messed up because some songs you can barely tell are hitting

the box is terrible but i love the amp and the speakers are good value. however, not good quality. I think i should find something better but i definately have to rebuild that box if not

recently got a new rockford fosgate p1000-1bd and i have it wired to 1 ohm no bass boost gain a little over half.- Fi Bl 15"
well i'm wanting to upgrade anyway and i'm pretty sure if i go with the 18 its going to be a hell of alot louder and i don't want to go through the process of building a new box if i'm just going to replace it with an 18.- DODGE CALIBER
here are a few new pics- Fi Bl 15"
sorry forgot to mention the size. they are 12" CVR's. i'm almost positive a bl 18" will outslam the cvr's and i believe that may be the route i'm going, but i was wondering how much harder a 15" fi would hit if at all. My boxes tuning is all f'd up because of a miscalculation. It's tuned to like 55 hz and most of my music don't play that high so it really sounds bad at times right now. I have Rockford 4 Gauge wire. Stock alternator and battery but plan to upgrade at least the battery. I would think the 15" bl, being a much better quality sub, would put the cvr's to shame. I would like to tune the port of my next box to around 30 to 33 hz. Sorry for the info. overload just wanted to provide any information necessary to answer my question the best.- Fi Bl 15"
I have two kicker cvr's in a 4.4 cubic foot box. Would a 15" Fi Bl hit harder in nearly the same size enclosure? I have a rockford 1000-1bd for power and the system is in a 2008 dodge caliber.- DODGE CALIBER
i cant really tell the difference but its probably terrible for the subs bc if one is hitting harder than the other its gonna be pulling or pushing the other one sometimes and i don't imagine thats good if its against the way the speaker is supposed to be going in accordance with the voice coil...but that ma isn't working right now- DODGE CALIBER
no gain is 3/4 and boost is all the way...- DODGE CALIBER
by that i mean the gain control- DODGE CALIBER
yea...does that increase clipping?...i only have it about 3 quarters of the way up- DODGE CALIBER
well the amp only produces 600 rms at 4 ohms bridged so it shouldn't produce enough at 8 ohms to blow that kicker should it? it's supposed to handle 400 rms and i have it turned down a little bit to be sure not clip the sub...i think i need a capacitor bc at times my amp doesnt seem to be producing enough power- DODGE CALIBER
the arc audio was just a piece of shit to begin with...and the ma was old and had been through hell plus i think i wired it wrong...i have had that kicker in there for a few months wire at 8 ohms bridged and have the amp turned most of the way up and its been fine...- DODGE CALIBER
i was given two subs...one ma and one arc audio...the arc audio blew i put the kicker in there....then the ma blew...i'm gonna have another cvr in there just different years...eventually i'll have them both the same years- NEEDS IMPROVEMENT
My car until i get the money to continue upgrading- DODGE CALIBER
this is all i got so far generic car audio at its finest...the ma is blown just fillin space right now...first box build still gotta put in some inputs explains the wires through the port lol...got the other kicker on the way it'll be installed when i return to louisiana...however its an 07 and thats an 05 so i'm still not gonna be matching lmao- DODGE CALIBER
Does anybody got a build log on a caliber...if so post it...might post a picture of my setup but all i got is some piece of shit 12" kicker cvrs in a 4.4 cubic feet box...only upgrade so far still even have the stock piece of shit radio plan to upgrade to a touch screen double-din....and plan to upgrade to an 18" fi bl or btl...- What subs to buy
well i need something temporary and the cvr's i think will hit pretty hard for a temporary sub...i just want something to hold me off for a while... - DODGE CALIBER
