Welcome to the IHoP
And then of course was wondering how best to fixture the PVC. Woodworking is not my forte

Thanks Ryan. I had planned on somewhat copying this: http://www.thewoodwhisperer.com/videos/the-cross-cut-sled/ but being I have no bandsaw, no planer, no drum sander and such I was thinking perhaps someone made metal runners like the one in my miter gauge. Figured it'd stop the swelling and such as well and make my life easier. Can't seem to find any though...

Willing to buy the guides and build one though... Just didn't know what size I should own/build first

Do you have test pipe or a saw that can cut that in one go? Also, define 'perfectly square'. I would bet that with the table saw, good miter gauge you could cut that pretty damn square. Set up the miter gauge, or cross cut sled, fence on the right side with a stop so you can set length, but the tube isn't contacting the fence while it is cutting and cut, rotate, cut, rotate, cut and done. As perfect as possible. ie, can't tell it's crooked as fuck once I put the caps on the end of it. And by cap, I mean plywood insert. <--has no cross cut sled and needs to make one for this. Not instantly picturing how best this should be.

They'll ship whatever you order. Most restaurants don't order fresh. Generally speaking fresh fish isn't always the best choice anyways. I am all for sustainable fishing which regularly means freezing. That of course is just fine as long as it's done right. The Bristol Bay crab legs are the exact example of this. Processed on the boat, cooked on the boat, frozen on the boat, never thawed and re-frozen. If that is done to fish as well it is regularly a better product than what is served as "fresh". Crab yes, but muscles oysters and fish freeze well? I.can't imagine it would make for good .sashimi It is actually rather normal to have flash frozen fish as sashimi. It kills the parasites which are the biggest concern wtih raw fish. As for mussels & oysters I am not so interested in those being frozen. I see frozen mussels at the grocery store all the time but seriously doubt their edibility

If I wanted to cut a 10" pvc pipe to a perfectly square end and have access to a table saw, skil saw, or radial arm saw how would you jig it so that I can cut it straight?

Speaking of weapons, I've got some agent orange this morning. Think the paint is melting off the walls.

I've got a big gun, but it's usually a single shot

Surprised you don't double post more

Welcome to the IHoP
Mmm, double bubble

Take the comment differently Stefan. Minimizing the zoom is the goal. In particular with a limited budget.

Only one I watched.

Both are artifacts of zoom. God that warping fisheye effect makes me sick. I doubled my budget because the scope I was going to.settle for had it so.bad in 3 different examples. How does it get resolved for zoom without those problems, just better alignment? You can't, you can get better but it's FUCKING expensive. There is a reason that a good camera lens is in the $2k range without zoom. Photographers will tell you there aren't any good WITH. There are some very rare exceptions that just seem to be manufacturing anomalies that somehow make things okay. If it's a target gun do you really need zoom? I wouldn't exactly agree with that, but like everything, it's relative to what one considers good. My father is a photographer, and I would say 90% of his work is with "zoom" lenses. I couldn't imagine running around swapping lenses every thirty seconds. Not everything shot is in similar distances. Dig around on photography forums, everyone wants primes. I'm a little overboard as usual, but I work for an optics company.

Fuck that, I'll start with the tank. Just how I roll.

Welcome to the IHoP
HEI it is. Built in 80gal tank. Vapor lock is a problem, but not in my case. It isn't that you shut it off and it won't start but that it pukes while running full bore. I've never heard vapor lock creating that scenario...but if you have I can insulate the fuel lines. I did peak last night too and one of the wire holders is somewhat melted. The wires look fine and perhaps even new....not that it means jack, but I am pretty sure by the recent "tune-up" the previous owner was chasing this ghost as well. For that reason I'll start with the coil which of course is easier as well

I know nothing of scopes, but prime lenses are always the best. define prime please? Sorry. Optics without zoom as always MUCH more clear. No zoom = prime.

Welcome to the IHoP
I assume it's an HEI, I'm GM stupid though. Pulled the cap and rotor and they look like they were replaced VERY recently so I am sure the previous owner also had this problem.

Welcome to the IHoP
It did die at idle 2x tonight though which makes me wonder if that is truly the problem. Cap/rotor look fine. Coil & Fuel Pump may be something I look into next.

What does it use for engine management and does it have a radiator and coolant or just use lake water? Just lake water. Engine management is a MEFI (Marine) but I think it's just a potted standard GM EFI unit. Vortec 350 pretty much circa 2004. I don't know anything about marine coding or requirements, so I doubt I could. A simple temp change can alter the entire map. Does it have any temp sensors or emmissions equipment on it? Yep. Sure does. Would it measure temp somewhere outside of the water itself?

Let me dig a bit for you. i like the idea verry much for you. once you can bughole your. 22 at 100 yards move up to something else. I am on my tablet so give me a few and I will do some digging. I love it as well, not from a shooting perspective but a money and usage perspective.
