If you are referring to your Saturn then perhaps, no idea what the interior is like in that.

Terrible for pretty much anything actually, but the layout sucked so bad for audio I said fuck it and used the stock door locations. I see no nice way of running 3's in that thing...unless you didn't care about your vents but being where you live I doubt that is of interest to you.

That would be my preferred setup IF -you can have the 3" drives ON AXIS -the 8" driver you pick is a serious midbass beast -you have the appropriate processing to sort it out -and if you can get the 3's pretty high up and the closer to equidistant the better Well if I did it I would be putting it in your favorite vehicle ever! I could do a 3" on the dash and 8 in the door Also, I would still plan on using a sub. I know I really enjoy my full range BIB and I love awesome midbass! Something like the different i felt between my 4x6 and 6x9's to my DLS 6.5s in my old truck. Silverado has an awful dash for it. Fucking terrible for audio

I also see absolutely no reason to port a sub in a car. Obviously you should pick your sub appropriately as the box should match the driver, but the extra output is more than handled by cabin gain and I just don't need it. Midbass on the other hand is always lacking, so see two posts up!

One other caveat is that you aren't an output fiend. Frequency range or output, pick one. Using an extended driver will of course decrease this, but you can still easily achieve reference levels. Just don't expect to impress anyone from FL.

    I'm huge in Japan
  9. Why not a slot? Having 4 sort of defeats the benefits in particular when you can flare a slot. Harde r to change the tuning later but it isnt so easy with 4 anyways
  10. Do you really want opinions if they are already on order?

I start by normalizing the data most likely. Percentage of total time is a good start and usually how the marine manufacturers do it.

Can always do the same in Matlab. Since you have the counts already though you don't need it. The real question then becomes how do you compare the distribution and what will be the factors that determine a match or difference.

Define your bins (cant' tell from your pic) in a column in Excel and then use and IF and Count statement to determine each. You could also make a quick pivot table to do it as well.

Statistically rather easy in Excel as mean, median, max, min and if statements are all there.

What are you recording and what time interval and how is the data stored? I record engine speed and any other basic parameter you can think of. I plan on only testing the engine speed and calling it good enough. The data is recorded every second, but I'm looking to show that the way the engines run average out to be the "same" overall. So you want to compare RPM over time?

Is output really a concern? Just do a sealed in car. IMO it's almost always the best solution. Of course the caveat was stated up front.

Time for the triple S and then to pack!~
  23. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
Only 10.5 hours so it isn't really all that bad.
  24. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
It is a long flight so you will do the same when you land. Nope I'll eat and then go for a walk

Need to think about packing, showering, shaving and such I suppose.
