Welcome to the IHoP
Understatement. Super sweet with either a polished aluminum ass or gel coat matched to my hull. Perhaps Gel coat front polished ass.

And yes, I sent them an email. Hope I suck at their internet

Welcome to the IHoP
Wow, fuck you. That would be seriously bad ass. I no longer want anything else. Bastards don't seemingly make them in a 10" or 12" diameter though

And it is not for sale. Forgot I had it though Eventually it'll go into my office.

iirc you have a mach 5 ixl? i regret not getting one back in the day, went with an cheaper sub from Ascendant audio. edit: not that i'm interested in buying it, just dont have a use for it.. i just remember random shit haha I have the prototype and initial IXL 12. All others were built based on the one I have. No further changes, but there were none before it either.

Thanks for searching J...what I want will take a bit more space than that

Welcome to the IHoP
Why not just build one large enclosure out of FG? Cosmetic reasons only. I will probably connect the two "tube" enclosures with the one for the horn.

What about those cheap small stainless trash cans? Brace the inside with wood. Build your baffles and glass and you're good to go. The issue with sonotube is both sides are waxed and you have to get through that before painting or glassing. Actually they weather quite well as long as you seal the edges. They can sit outside at jobsites for quite some time before being affected.. Stainless would be sweet. Have you seen some for sale somewhere? Big Lots, etc. . . Ha, I only shop online. I'll have to run out to one of those type stores.

6 if you count the horns, but those won't be in matching enclosures. Hell, have no idea what I am going to do for those at all yet. Have to pick a horn body first.

Hadn't noticed his other posts, but his thread shows he's SERIOUSLY confused. Oh my god, I've never seen such a random collection of things that together will seriously sound like shit.

Then you get to 86 both my Seas as options. The RS180/RS28 have proven designs though. Modula MT would be sweet.

Welcome to the IHoP
You don't want the Excel's then. NOT at all friendly for passive crossovers. Nastiest breakup mode i've ever heard. Killer when dialed, but as an early step building a 2 way with a mid that can only play to 1.2kHz and starts to get nasty fast isn't something I'd recommend. Have you thought about just using a pre-design or are you going to go through with measurements and design your own?

New "SQL" system for a metalhead - Right direction?
I'd rather use a headunit than the DQXS. Having the flexibility up front and in your hands is HUGE. In particular if you are crafting something out of non standard drivers. For a first shot I'd avoid a three way...but instead trying to minimize the pain of the three way setup. If you are truly a metal head I'd recommend something different to you than I've ever recommended on the board, but it'll depend truly on what you choose for crossovers, mounting locations, and dough/time etc you want to put into it. No need to move to the build logs section, unless of course you start posting build pics but even then I'd propose you leave this open for questions and make a build log thread where you point back to here. That way discussion of your install and choices is separate from people oo'ing and aw'ing over what you've done.

Depends on what you are going to use them for

help with a digital EQ
well i have some 6x9 and 6 3/4 and two pairs of tweeters and the 6x9 and 6 3/4 lagg in sound quality the dqxs was a gift from my girlfriend for fathers day Perhaps this needs to be more clear. No fucking shit you are lacking in SQ. Your equipment choices do not go together at all. Throwing processing at the mess IS NOT going to help either. You should remove ALL your processors, get rid of your extra tweeters, get rid of your dash speakers, get rid of the rears, sell all of it and focus on building a front stage that will sound good. With what you have you will NOT get there. And no, from your posts it is very obvious to me that you cannot learn on the fly and need more help than you will be able to deal with considering your equipment list. Once you've eliminated all that extra stuff that is only making things worse we can finally start to help you. Seriously scrap all four of your "processors. To put this in perspective your amalgamation of processors is perhaps the worst combination of mess I've ever seen on any audio forum. You need to simplify things as you are in way over your head.

I tend to ignore dumb threads these days but you have me curious as to who this is.

Welcome to the IHoP
err, I mean I need a coated paper or hard cone driver to withstand the weather.
-
Welcome to the IHoP
No, I don't need to pay markup for an off the shelf driver from someone else.

Welcome to the IHoP
I figured a cylinder would be the best. I need around .6-.7 cuft. 10" diameter ~13-14" long. Birch cap on both ends and bam. Love all the ideas. Thanks guys. Completely open to more. PVC is winning atm

These are the defacto standard http://exileaudio.com/store/index.php/tower-speakers/wake/xm9-hlcd-tower-speaker.html And people usually run between 3 and 6 sets! I'm planning a budget build to smoke these.
