Screw a board in for a "fence". Then either a router or jigsaw will work. Personally a fence and a jig saw is the fastest. Can easily round it over with the router on either.

What is worth it is doing nothing. Trading up is a better value.

The parts to turbo the 4.3 have been done already by GM and therefore it should be the KISS solution. The typhoon showed us this.

Put a turbo on the 4.3 then. Will outperform your engine swap.

A $1500 swap would be impressive. Expect that to double. Obviously if you fab a bunch of stuff yourself then no. Hell I spent that on my headers...
