    It can in particular if you are flexible on your in/out dates. I would add though that a bit more dough to up the food ante is well worth it. Splurge once a week when in good spots to do so. Well worth the credit it'll take.

    Mine does. Need to RDP though or have a home automation server that can do it for you.

    Nice, I went the cheap and easy route. $20 worth of pine and some hardware. The difference of course being the movers already broke mine by standing on it and since then I haven't bothered to repair/finish the top so it's starting to look rather tired. The stainless isn't nearly as pretty atm either....but damn does it cook some good eats. The accessory in the middle of my table was a wee bit more than $650 and in reality I wish I had the difference back but I'll still argue it is by far the best kitchen implement that Viking has ever made.

    Perhaps you are seeing more and more why I am rather direct. Forums go to hell when that is allowed to propagage

    Did the aliasing stuff make sense to you? Basically you are undersampling which means there are more than one way to connect the dots and analyzers (your eyes are one btw) pick the easiest path and not more complex assuming the sampling is good enough. In the case of the camera what it is recording is actually what is happening AT THAT FRAMERATE which means your eyes see the truth, the truth here though is that you aren't sampling fast enough :>)

    Did you burn up your gasket? If so, give me your address. No the gasket is still good, just need my hair to grow a little. Thanks. AMAZING how much fire the burp takes care of. Mine melted the fuck out of my gasket, so I added a gasket that is stable to 1750F. Of course, while setting in the new gasket (read first roaring fire) I singed/melted part of it as well. You can make some heat with these bitches. Yes it is amazing, but nothing compares for cooking. What material did you use? Can't remember, but it was like $100. I have enough to do another 10 BGE's though So, let me know when/if you need some.

    Aliasing. Google it and all will be clear. If I use an old VHS camcorder would it look different because it is not digital? Still digital of sorts. ie, has an effective sampling rate. I'd bet its lower than 30fps as well, but don't really know.

    This is what my snorkling video camera is able to be set to. I have it set to 1080 so it was only doing 30fps, next time I will set it to 720 and see. 1080p—1920 x 1080, 30 fps 720p / 60 fps—1280 x 720, 60 fps 720p—1280 x 720, 30 fps And you'll get aliasing at above 30Hz with 60fps.

    Sorry for the puzzles.

    It's the frame rate on the camera. Ok I will have to get the good video camera and see if that is any better. even at 30fps my camera doesn't pickup well we tried 60fps but 40 seconds was like over a gig lol. And only works to 30Hz.
  15. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
    So if you camera does that (might not) then play 15Hz and watch the wave go away. (play half the fps - nyquist)
  16. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
    30fps = 30Hz btw

    If not, add FFT or Fourier Analysis and aliasing together

    EZ Connectors? Mine don't even have a fucking load bar. Lining up all 8 and pushing SUCKS. Managed to get around 40 to work and 4 aren't.

    I hate them too, you aren't alone. There has to be some trick, my sausage fingers don't fare so well at it.

    I hate putting cat5 connectors on. Just did 20 and fucking 6 are bad

    Roederer Brut Estate is what I drink for "cheap" ...although I don't think it'll fit your category of cheaper is better. I pay about $14 for it. If you go much cheaper things get nasty really fast.

    I've almost chased people down to mug the fuck out of them when they are hogging trail. My ski is OFF the trail to the right in blind corners and you bet I'm going to fast to stop but if you were even HALFWAY on "your" right side it wouldn't be a problem for anything but our hearts anyways. Trail hogs drive me nuts. If you can't stay tucked on the right at the speed you are going slow the fuck down.
