Do you think it's better for a college student to stick with one internship in their related field for a couple years or to switch if possible every year? Kind of a broad question, but I've heard different opinions on the matter. Depends on long term what you want to do. If it is exactly what the internship is then stick to it, if its something else a change is in order. Having a good reason for the change (usually challenge & goal related) is a requirement IMO.

If I had to pick one obtuse would have been the choice, but none is more appropriate

Nope, none of those either actually.

Got interviewed by federal researchers once regarding just that.

My huh was regarding the hood not the description of damp. Just wondered why it would be okay completely exposed but not partially covered.
  8. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
And if that isn't clear enough, the rest is just stainless steel and maybe some lights. I don't need the lights.

To clarify, real hoods have their fans on the roof and not in the hood anyway.

    Damp rated? Huh?

Ultra mega super duper high CFM range hood? Yep. Been watching CL myself for one Of course mine is just so I can put a 3 season porch around my outdoor kitchen. Cooking in -10F in flip flops ftw.

I know what you mean. We have a Crown plant local, but they only ever hire engineers. I think robots may do all the production, but I've never been in the plant. No way are they robotic. Most likely a bunch of fat women. Surprisingly how much better really obese women are at little repetitive artistic things. Been in a few strain gage transducer plants and watching them solder under a microscope is nuts. i SUCK at it. Have you visited this place? I worked for a couple places in Elkhart and many use "foreign" labor if you know what I mean. Never there lol, just saying that robotics for what they make isn't so likely. Some things for sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if South of the border reigns. I figured it was likely given your line of work. Some day I shall find out. Elkhart is the RV capitol of the world and the have a very larger southern residency. I know a guy who works for immigration and they bust 4 businesses daily and deport 15 bus fulls every week. It's insane. Audio companies are notoriously cheap. Always buy the dumb and nearly useless Klippel instead of a real tool we could provide. Of course it isn't truly about engineering and there are exceptions.

You can, but getting to do that and staying with in code will be spendy.

My brother and brother in law are both CPA's. Bro works maybe 50hrs a week, brother in law travels and works like I do. Both make 6 digit incomes though.

Good point Sean. Most of my experience is in writing, correcting and submitting evaluations, recommendations for awards, processing financial documents, and various other military related paperwork. Delegation, supervision, and suggestions as to how to accomplish a mission are all withing my daily duties scope. Degree as of now is in Business Management. I have considered psychology as well. If I got a 'no-name' paid for diploma I would go for Business administration, management, or psychology. As for the job I would apply for...............that is the hundred million dollar question lately. J And the 100million dollar question will determine the answer to the question you asked me.

What are you having? Nothing tonight, just getting over being sick again. No meds to help? I have some codeine cough syrup in the cabinet, but haven't taken anything for the last two days, biggest thing that helps is vicks vapor rub, and eating cough drops all day. Pretty shitty. Rub that vicks on your feet, put socks on and go to bed, it works for me. Seriously?

There is one house that is a temporary stepping stone that may expedite the process, but I doubt it.
