Welcome to the IHoP
Ha, no, was busy shopping for houses and got really distracted. Are you still thinking of selling? The search was helpful in that it put me at ease with our potential projects. I will finish our current house as cheap as possible without cutting obvious corners. When its somewhat market ready we'll test the waters and if it goes I'll move. If it doesn't I'll shop for love at first site.

J, I have no idea what your experience is in, what your degree would be in, nor what you would be applying for. A generic answer is like a rule of thumb...not accurate. I tried before, but if you want more feedback I'll need to know more as well. The one thing is for sure, I will always try to hire the best person for the job. That means I'll take some calculated risk, but that depends also on the other candidates.

And today its keeping dad busy. Mom is in Tempe, AZ on a business trip. Yay. I now know what I put her through. SHIT. She's not buying a boat? Funny. Good memory. Amusingly I may have to go there next week even though they wanted me there this week. Intel has some troubles I can help with, but I can't travel atm. If we had more time to prepare perhaps we could have found a nanny or service for during the day and brought mini-me 1 and 2.l

I love snuggly kids. Can't believe my wife grew up in a house where they didn't even hug. Hell it is more common for me to hug her brothers than their mom too. Should see the jealous look in her eye as well, which is fucking stupid because all she had to do was show that she cared as they grew up.

with more schooling I'd take a pay cut or stay at the same job.

I chose the pay me now and opted out of more schooling

IMO, you can eventually hit a ceiling because of your amount of education. If you don't have enough experience, you can keep working until you do, or move to a job that will get you the experience. A combination of both is good, but I would always choose education over experience first if your end goal requires it. Sort of the pay me now or later scenario

Need advices for a front stage - Toyota Celica
Okay, I said MLV you said more effective than that so I answered lead. Sound blocking is ALL about mass. As for deadening, that requires a constrained layer not mass. You "need" both. You aren't making things easy. Pro audio drivers in general need a lot of processing, considering those Sundowns are exactly just a set of those they are going to need some love. Conveniently you are adding a CarPC. The MOST flexible dsp's available are via CarPC's so let's assume you will do that in the future and everything you have for now will just be temporary. Then it's going to come down to your goals. I can guess since you are implementing a 10" pro audio driver, but that will leave only one solution to match and its a set of horns. Nothing else short of a 3 way will do output wise what I expect you are looking for. Of course the horns will sound pretty rough using only your amps crossovers, but again a CarPC can solve that rather quickly. Unlike Brad, I personally love the full range and midbass. The best sounding (non-ridiculous $$) systems I have heard have all been that way. None of them will have the output to keep up with the rest of your system though nor would they really make that much sense in this application. I'd also say on axis and tweeters in car isn't usually the best idea either...but its no worse than predetermining your aiming without listening first. So what to do? Find some used horns and hurry up with the car pc.

IF the experience matches it is way more important. A degree is a huge plus and a filter for many HR departments though Now that being said, is it better to be working your way to a degree with a decently known school when you apply, or better to buy a diploma from a 'college'?? J Can't compare an apple and an orange. If you mean first reaction to your resume, the better school wins, if you mean in an interview that will depend on you.

Amusingly I am the only one in my company without a Masters or PhD (besides office "staff") and more amusingly they all work for me.

That's actually nasty agreed, would be sexy if she was like 10-15 years younger.. LOL If her chin was a little higher way may see something that would explain a lot. An adams apple? Are you trying to say he's hiding something?

It's eurotrash speak for a projector. Don't know why you'd put one of those under your hood though.
