Must haves: Global luggage - 20" or 22" at way most, if 22" it has to be slender Computer sleeve - with EASY access for the TSA line 3 1 1 compartment - again with EASY access for the TSA line Tall enough handle Nice rolling wheels Can't look ridiculous at a customer site. This would win for $100 if I didn't care, but it isn't very professional looking Huge bonus: Suiter - or way of transporting shirts and pants on a hanger Beverage holder Reliable zippers Not going to fail quickly, although if its cheap enough I can deal with 5 years or so Separate location for dirty clothes Location for dop kit (small though as the 3 1 1 keeps most of it) Potential for carrying a pair of shoes, isolating them is great Nice access for other business items (leatherbound notebook, power supplies, business cards etc) Needless to say, only Briggs & Riley and Travel Pro seem to have solutions. Victorinox almost does but there is no beverage holder or 3 1 1 pouch of any kind.

Sounds like travel bags are a niche market for absolutely raping people in terms of $$$. Maybe you could sell your steering wheel, use one from checkers/autozone, improve steering, and help offset the luggage cost? Unconditional lifetime warranty on the Briggs says something. I destroy Samsonite stuff in ~2 years and it ain't cheap. Target shit lasts less than a year. So it's cheaper in the long run, just seems an absurd price for what it is. Exactly why I am wondering if I should do it or not. Ugh.

If you can't get them ON axis it is really NOT a good idea. I can, as long as the OD is under 3.5". Now if I decided to go with a bigger midrange (~4"), then see below. The stage height improved immensely when I placed the tweeters up on the dash, I'm curious if the tweets were aimed differently in the kicks if that could achieve similar results. Though I thought even if they were a bit off in the kicks, the stage height wouldn't have affected. Otherwise I could always put a midrange + tweeter in the kicks, that won't take up much room, and I could use the on-board amp on the ms8 for the tweets. Definitely different aiming in your kicks can do the same. 4" is rather big for in car, but I LOVE my TB's. Getting them on axis and potentially in an enclosure is a much higher priority.

You either shop exclusively for high end or for low end, but never both simultaneously. Learned that lesson a long time ago. When it is something I will seriously use I try to find the best item for my needs and then figure out the compromises I can live with. The divergence between crap and quality is sick however.

I was stoked to finally get it, but I have to say it did come with 1st gen problems. My version doesn't recognize its serial number. Therefore I had to do my update manually and I can not root it. Also, I have a small spot in the middle of my screen that is whiter that everything else on a light screen with a tiny little dark spot about a cm away from it. The wifi strength isn't as powerful as my friends ipad2 and GPS is practically non-existant. Asus went stupid and put an aluminum backing on it, but didn't leave a window for the wifi/gps chip to "look through". It also has some coding problems that don't help as well. Other than that it is the best tablet. Those problems are actually pretty small compared to how I use it. I plan on getting it RMA'd by Asus and sending it in for a replacement. HOWEVER, I did just order the stock, which is going to be bad ass since I will have a 10.1 netbook with full windows 7 and Android. Also, some people have also installed Ubuntu on it, and it looks like Windows 8 will be able to be installed on it. AND, I found out its fairly cheap to hook up a PS3/X360 controller. It also has an HDMI out and games are getting pretty good these days. I'm not a serious gamer so this may end up being my gaming "system" to blow off some steam. Wait, it runs Win 7 & Android? Dual boot or how does that work. Also curious on the cash outlay as I need something that can run Windows.
