Welcome to the IHoP
Going to test the cruise control and see if it will hold 3.8mph or so

Welcome to the IHoP
Ok, but should you want some just let me know. I am more than happy to send you some. Have fun fishing with the little man! Thanks Going to use the rod holder more to hold a grill than to fish, but will troll for muskies as we put around.

cap
Occasionally I use a lanyard to wire my cap if I am driving over 65mph on the water, but only for fitted. For universal fit caps I put them over the throttle control of the boat as it is less annoying than having the cap whip around.

KICKER cvx 12" ported VS. 2 sealed 12" L7
I'd expect the L7's to win handily and if you ever gain the space when you port those puppies you will REALLY gain.

IA 187, hows the midbass?
If you cross anything over at 80Hz you will not have midbass. As for what the driver can do, the last one I'd pick is the AQ crap. Their design offering is meant to appeal to someone who likes output only and has no regard for quality. By definition this will be a peaky driver that doesn't do well either low OR high, but has a tuning that makes a boom at very small range of notes. I wouldn't even bother listening to them. A subset of one with nothing to compare will teach you nothing. IMO the SDC is a driver that I flat out don't understand why anyone would buy. The response is a complete joke, the companies marketing is complete BS, and for the same dollars there are better solutions no matter what your goals. In your case in particular I think it is a bad choice. Of course, that being said. The install will make or break it, but why handicap yourself with an AQ to begin with?

Don't worry about the butyl Neal, I managed to take an old radiator hose and thin it out using my angle grinder and it worked great.

Hertz HSK ,ID CTX or SOUNDSTREAM RF-60C
Buying a set of comps you haven't heard based on random people from the internets subjective opinions is flat out dumb IMO. Buy the ones that sound the best to YOU.

Thoughts on Tempo 6
They had to, sound like crap and no one should pay what they were asking.

Should probably do that myself.

Welcome to the IHoP
Depends on what I have laying around. I wouldn't be able to get to it until ~Thursday at the earliest. I think some rubber will actually be better. Found an old radiator hose, got excited as it was 2" external, fit in the rod holder perfect, measure 1.75" ID and then I tried to use it and realized when I measured the ID with the hose in it that I was compressing it more than I could on the round surface. About a 1/16" too thick. Perhaps I'll cut a longer piece, staple it to a board and hit the other side with the belt sander. That ought to smell good, lol.

Ethanol is great for making power. Not so good for mileage. True. The idea that it could be any sort of replacement for gasoline in a daily driver scenario is a joke. It is a good alternative to high octane gas though. Equivalent of like 105 octane and costs about the same as pump gas right? It's actually better for the environment as well. I don't know the exact number, but the carbon footprint is about half that of gasoline. E85 is slightly more. As for cost, it depends. IT's usually around 90% that of gasoline and it contains 80% of the energy gasoline does, so you burn more fuel for the same power, but in the end, you probably lose money. So the only real gain is the environmental effect. Not at all how I understand it. You have to include the distillation in your environmental footprint and considering ethanol is a net negative that doesn't bode well for the environment. Add to that what it will do to our soil which is already overused and corn being an aggressive crop it really makes no sense at all. Sugar cane is a different story, but we can't grow that... On top of that building a car to run on a flex standard and that is ridiculous. If you don't gain the benefit of compression then you lose everything that you gain and are now just wasting a shit ton of energy. And then of course looking at how little environmental impacts cars actually have and its just not a logical argument. Hell in LA air has to be "cleaner" coming out of the tailpipe than going into the intake on an average day. no doubt. EthNol is garbage for the earth if your talking from corn. I've never heard that cane was a net gain, but even breaking even is better than fucking corn. It's for whiskey and Mexican food. Nothing else. Let's not stop short at the effect on the soil and environment. How about the fact that it narrows the inherent genetic randomness because ethanol farmers care about growing the most corn, not the most diverse. You know how thanksgiving always shows multicolored corn....that wasn't because they thought it was pretty, that's actually what an alarming percentage of it used to look like! And once you narrow out all the genetic variables you're left with a country full of one species of plant which can be so easily wiped out. will be wiped out.... we simply have too many fish in the aquarium. I don't know what you are talking about all 1200+ varieties of banana's are readily available here including the Big Mike.- Welcome to the IHoP
Hmm, how about a section of radiator hose. Afraid it may be a bit wobbly, but I should have something like that laying around. - Welcome to the IHoP
