    Where's my sub? I'm hungry
  2. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
And I wouldn't really save anything as I'd have to go both ways where this guy can charge someone both ways.

Doesn't bother me to tow, just don't have the time.

Once you've tried them both you'll have to compare them for me. I've been on a few X-25's but never a bu so I'm interested in a comparison. How are you planning on bringing that bu home from AZ? As for the alarm I have NO clue. Could a used car alarm work with some modification? I know I've seen them dirt cheap online. Will do. Should be fairly fresh in my mind being one today and one tomorrow. Not completely fair as the X-25 is this years and the Malibu a 2004. Paying some guy with a truck to haul it as I am not going to drive 3500mi half of which towing a boat. Definitely a cheap car alarm, potentially with pager

Cheap alarm recommendations? For a boat, just need switches for compartments, and if there is such a thing inputs to determine a short or lack thereof (ie speaker removal sets it off).

Oh, test driving a MasterCraft X-25 at lunch today. Off on a plane to Phoenix tonight and wet testing the BU tomorrow AM.

Que? Lol, some of those names are familiar. Dad used to listen to Tony Williams. I couldn't name a song though That's because he's played them all
  8. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
They're a really generic surf band. Ha, didn't catch that. Dick Dale would have made it clear
  9. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
I already listen to a lot of Elvin Jones, Max Roach, Tony Williams, Jack DeJohnette, Philly Joe Jones, Art Blakey, but I could use some more Buddy Rich.

  11. I've done business with Adrian even across the pond and can recommend him as well. I also think the large aero is a great idea and there is a market here. I'll also offer to help if you need something here on this end Adrian adding that I too see PVC as a better option or at least it seems standard. I haven't compared different brands of "sonotubes" by measuring, but can tell you I have seen different thickness tubes (probably for different construction applications) and that will end up with some people upset with you. One other thing, someone should compare the PVC and the Black Plastic sewer pipe as well. Still spec'd as OD here in backwards measurement land, but I think the thicknesses could be different. Perhaps not, never compared either. Let me know if you need help with that and what sizes you'd like.

I like bands that sound better live than recorded.

Nakedwhiz is a pretty good site in general, not the gospel but better than following some other generic site.
  14. That'd be a complete waste. I guarantee it isn't an ideal midrange, not its purpose at all. Specs may be crazy, but counterproductive. Spendy array, in particular when then you don't need the excursion once you have a bunch of drivers; however, if you mean in an array where you are severely space limited and need a way of filling in the bottom matched with a robust tweet then that is the only real application I could think of as well, space limited lows. If you don't need to make that compromise I wouldn't do it. Hell at that pice I wouldn't do it period. .....but I did find it interesting
  15. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
Spotter? I hadn't even planned on a driver.
  16. I am sure that they suffer in the midrange+, too many other trade-offs. In that realm, I am sure I'd prefer the TB W1337, but it won't have the bottom end and none of the doppler distortion that comes with it. I'd rather make that up in the enclosure and have a more true mid for a full ranger.

Never said there was something wrong with it, just isn't recorded by musicians and therefore isn't music. Music is not recorded by musicians either. It's recorded by sound engineers. Which is why so many bands suck ass live And if they suck live, I don't want to listen to their recordings. *most of my cd's were recorded live

I've seen those old snowboards lol I don't know how the fuck anyone rode them. Very cool to be involved in something like that since the beginning. Weird to think the sports relatively new. If you haven't been wakeboarding or wakesurfing since then I think you should have a pretty easy time with it after getting used to the boat and equipment. If you could get up on a skurfer I'm sure with the new equipment wakeboarding and wakesurfing will come naturally. It's a really fun hobby to get into or back into I have a Mike Weddington Full Tilt board from ~ 96 which is I think pretty modern in its function. Could slalom when I was 6. Not much has changed other than camber design recently. For something like slalom traditional stiff camber is the best way to go and probably will be for awhile. Base design might offer some advantages now days, but I don't follow the technology closely enough to say It has some camber, decent edges, and is a 147 so for my size it should be fine. I've only ridden it three times and it felt a little unstable, but was behind a boat with a shit wake and the fins on it are maybe 0.5" so I should probably get some larger ones. Either way it'll get me some water time so that when I test out others I'll be able to figure out what I like. Hell its 14 years newer than my waterski lol

Of course. I need to find someone to pull me now...but I doubt that'll be hard.

the vests are in the wetsuit section so when I saw the sizing chart I just figured it was for lifejackets. You could always try out a forum. I know that can be a bit of a pain, but a lot of times guys who own shops are members and might be able to check their stock and measure for you so you know which brand carries the longest ones. We have a couple big shops so I'll just stop in One I can boat to

Ah, that sizing is for wetsuits not jackets. Either way, I'll boat over to the BU dealer and see what he has that might fit. Tried Fleet Farm and the other budget alternatives to no luck this week. I have an old school vinyl one that still fits which is a lot more comfortable than the cloth in particular in cold water, but I do want a neo.

Here's where I found out about the O'neil T sizes O'neil Size Chart. Here's a screenshot of the chart just in case that link doesn't take you to the right place because the site is sorta weird. So that leads me to believe they carry those sizes. Finding them is another story. I'll look to find O'neil dealers online. If that doesn't work I'd find a local one and call and see what sizes they offer. I'm not too sure how bad the mark up is at a store though. I'd be extremely surprised if nothing turns up online Ah, your net skillz > mine. Danke!
