Can be said about ANY outdoor appliance. I learned the hard way on leaf blowers. Bought a cheap homelite backpack at HD. It didn't blow shit and broke in 2 years. Then I bought the biggest Echo they carry. It didn't blow shit so I sold it. Now up to $525 in Leafblowers that I then sold for $125 - net cost $400. Then I found a real dealer and bought a Shindaiwa. Holy fuck, I can "shovel" with it. Thing rocks. $450 more but considering I wasted that figuring out the rest were shit it was a lesson learned. Something to be said about a real powersports yard dealer for tools.

Warm chicken? I wouldn't eat it.

I wouldn't mind looking elsewhere but it would have to be somewhere in the states (no passports). Unfortunately he's getting married "early" since the only guy that has really started his career is our Navy buddy, so this bachelor party will be (hopefully) the cheapest one. $900 is NOT a cheap bachelor party. I've never spent anywhere near that, lol. Drinks and a few lap dances is a cheap bachelor party.

what time of year? Don't care at all. Lowest cost is good. I don't think I would like to travel to a place colder than MN in the winter though. Drinking on the beach relaxing type or surrounding yourself in culture type vacation? Rough budget?

Exactly why my comments were to MK and not you. HD, GC, RR are all worth doing. Thought about the helicopter ride through the canyon myself...

I didn't know Hooters was over rated, I thought everyone knew they pretty much sucked. Best ones though are always in small towns.

Budget, goals of the party in mind, and number of rooms desired. All these things will infulence my ideas. J 9 guys so if would do 2 rooms it would be cool. If we could do one badass room that would be cool (Or Condo or something). Goals are probably to do some drinking, gambling (if in the area), any kind of event would be good (Sporting, etc..), beaches are good, women are good, a great party atmosphere. I'll throw out no strippers though because, honestly, eff that I have a girl friend and I get to touch. Budget and are you driving/flying? Flying, unless it was somewhere close to Texas. Everyone is busy with stuff so it will be a late flight Friday and return on Sunday. Honestly we want to spend about $900 per. Flight, Hotel, entertainment, etc. Sounds like you have the budget for a flight and two meals. Peaked at flights and they were around $350 from Houston. Considering that is so much of your budget I'd seriously consider looking for something close to you or an all inclusive special 4 day weekend somewhere like Costa Rica or something more memorable. What you'll remember from Vegas is that the strippers don't do jack unless you spend too much, you wasted too much money attempting to gamble, you overpaid for shows that aren't anything special, and that you engaged and saw the scum of the earth walking around. Of course the one benefit could be you had one hell of a meal someplace, but then you won't get to do anything else.

Oh and no strippers is NOT a bachelor party. They are terrible in Vegas though.

Transducer isn't cheap and the difficulty in particular if you want something accurate
  12. Wouldn't something that worked better for less money be more value? In that equation rattletrap will never win assuming your purpose is to deaden.

He's definitely prone to doing that

    what time of year?
  15. Deft sanding sealer first...
  16. Really depends on your goals which aren't so clear. Lots of "direct" options: IB on a manifold, 4th/6th order BP through a port and of course just a normal box in the trunk which may be more than adequate to fit your needs. Have to describe them more (and fyi, don't use terms like SQ or SPL but instead actually put it into phrases that describe something)
  17. Not at all. *I assume otherwise the two are identical though.

Beware with saddle purchases, it usually takes 3-5 to get one that fits. A good fit can help expedite it, but it also might pay to look for used ones. And definitely post here as depending on your ass type I might have one you'd like....but doubt it as we are built a bit different but that doesn't mean our ass bones aren't.

I didn't think people like that existed, but I am in Atlanta and in the whopping 10 hours I've been here I've witnessed similar stupidity already.
  20. Obviously you read that aggressively since it hit home. Pretty obvious you haven't researched what/how/why a deadener works otherwise you wouldn't have made that statement. Of course we can make this really simple for everyone. Why exactly do you disagree? What was your purpose in using it and how did it actually work for that purpose? Classic with how lazy the youth are today. Really sad what the ramifications are to the rest of the country. Pretty obvious why the dollar is tanking globally Usually when I try to save money I also try to figure out why something else costs more. Normal value per dollar logic there Just like looking at only Fs in T/S specs not all that published is useful and in particular with deadener. Bummer that it is so easy to use blatant misinformation in marketing to achieve a goal and not have any ramifications because of that. Seriously pisses me off as Fatmat and company is deliberately trying to mislead the public into buying their product. Flat out robbery IMO.
  21. Have you ever used this product to back up your claim? I disagree. I did the entire interior of my truck in Fatmat and it's worked great for me. You can check out the pics in my build log. http://forum.realmofexcursion.com/build-logs/71046-tremonics-build-log.html I used heat on a lot of areas to get it to lay down the way I wanted it to (my wifes blowdryer lol). As I said before it's worked great for me and in the 100+ degree weather of GA none of it has even began to peel. Oh and I have absolutely no smell either. I've smelt it and done enough test work with ALL the OEMs to know exactly why it is a waste of money. Functionally it doesn't at all do what a deadener should but if you did ANY research you'd know that. If you'd like to discuss the science of why you feel differently i'd encourage it, but your subjective "it worked for me" is akin to taking a sugar pill and having it soothe pain.

Can't be much worse than that bitch
  23. Happy birthday
  24. Not an effective way to deaden.you should have asked before doing it.full coverage is of no benefit and asphalt is not effective at all.
