One of the few times that I agree with the use of a 4th order BP. Depending on your goals and design capability in that car it could potentially be the best option. Going to have to work on a front stage a bit to make it blend though as those cars aren't known for room for large drivers up front in some years of course worse than others.

The problem you have is the pods are built, but not for anything optimal. The mid/tweet could share an active channel and just passively cross the two separate, but everything is a compromise. If the pods weren't built I'd go about it differently.

Your decision is unrelated to choosing between either of those subs. What year Silverado? If its the OBS you have much less space than the NBS. If it is a NBS, I'd step up to a single 12. Either way 2 8's ported isn't going to make box building so easy. Why do you generically think it matters? Why do you always offer what you have? Its really simple. The box alignment should be determined by the driver you chose. Just stupid to choose a driver designed for an alignment and stuff it into something different.

Low 30's is not a comp tuning... You can overexcurt at any frequency by sending enough instantaneous power to exceed the drivers mechanical limits.

Buy an SSA woofer instead

It isn't like it'll sound bad on rock tuned low, in fact it will sound better just not be as loud. Might be tuning low for rap depending on which artists you listen to. Oh and tuning for your boss is absurd, build your system for YOU.

Is the goal truly to have subs that can take 3kW? What if they did, but had almost no output... Can take and what they do with it are two completely different design goals and one makes sense the other, not so much.
