Welcome to the IHoP
Except that bike doesn't fit him, lol. Some of the advice is good. Level seats are rarely comfortable, you should have yours at an angle that works for you. Amusingly on my mountain bike this is pointing down but on my road bike it points up. Both slight. Cleat position is huge. Followed by forward/backward seat position. That guy is not riding on his hoops which is what they are for and is already bent over really far. The bike frame he is on is way too small. Amusing as it is smaller on him than mine is on me and mine is also too small. My problem is any bigger and it requires a custom, but I compensate by riding the hoods. I really wish I could ride the drops

And the bars lower I did rotate them forward. The only way I could make mine lower would be to turn the handle bar stem upside down. Then I would be reallll low Is your back at more or less than 45 degrees?

And the bars lower Or more stretched out, ie longer stem. If you do that though make sure to reposition your saddle so that your knees still line up above your pedals. I ride really stretched which is a bit hard on the wrists but helps flexibility Any reccomendations on my seat position relative to my crank? Or maybe a trusted link? When your pedal is out your kneecap should be directly above the spindle of the pedal. Plumb bob is your friend. Not a recommendation but a requirement.

Pretty sad day here also. I found out around 3pm that a good friend and mentor passed away today. He was a senior engineer that we hired back in 1999 from KC. RIP... poop

Weight is only a concern on your feet if you are out of shape. Toughen up and carry some weight. Hell you'd hate what my size 16's weigh.

Dehydrated. Half you body weight in ounces is what you should put down to get back up to speed. Even 50% more wouldn't hurt. ie, 220lbs = 110oz ~ 1 gallon and that is a minimum for insuring hydration What is your formula for daily consumption of water. You quoted it. Obviously a "rule of thumb" and you all know how much I despise those, but figure that it is a more is better situation anyways.

Welcome to the IHoP
Wish I had the closed heel type though as occasionally I rub a rock on my heel and it hurts, but that almost only happens when I have a big fish on and I am "running" after it.

I wear my Keen's fly fishing. MUCH prefer them to waders unless the water is uber cold.
