I suggest two things. 1) Read and re-read the Loudspeaker Design Cookbook 2) Download WinISD Pro and make different boxes with the same drivers and change things up *Do realize that your model is for a "in free air" enclosure so it is not the response you will see unless you correct for the "room". It WILL teach you what you need to know. **Beware, the LSDC requires a fair amount of math understanding to get through. It isn't a 100% critical as he does write it so that you can read the conclusions, but you will really understand things if you go through the math. Shorten the port. That is the opposite problem everyone else has, although once you compute the area you actually need that will take care of it as well. Drivers, power, box size are all required to calculate port size. Then just pick a size that keeps the air velocity reasonable.

My rear axle NEVER hits the water when I launch a boat. Of course having the practice of doing it as often as I have makes that rather easy. I've seen a lot of funky failures with people who can't tow and exactly what Ryan described. Not so amusingly it is regularly with my friends who always wonder why my stuff is more reliable that theirs....that is until I bought my Chevy which only had 28k miles on it when I purchased it. Cost WAY more to keep running than the F150 I had previous to it that I didn't buy until it had 130k
