Peel and Seal?
If by working you mean they are a good underlayer for shingles, sure, but definitely not as a deadener in a car. I haven't used Fatmat, but I have done some consulting with the engineering director at the facility where its made which IMO is enough to know not to use them. For this application it is DEFINITELY a waste of money.

room gain
No rule of thumb like that exists and if it did it would be wrong. A simple answer is not one you can come to. Not sure what you are referring to by subwoofer displacement...or density, volume of the room is straightforward though.

Wood Splitting
When done properly the glue joint will be as strong/stronger than the rest of the mdf. Screws add nothing beneficial to strenght in that regard. Doesn't mean that there aren't times to use them, but they are a clamp in this case and should be used as one. I never bother, but have plenty of clamps. A few brads to hold things square and I find that much more logical.

Front Comps
Definitely not a full ranger buyer then. Glad you pointed that out. The Premier PRS units crossovers are stellar for a 2 way and my personal choice. @M5 : could you elaborate on why a 3inch full-ranger would not do wel on high volume playing paired with a 7 or 8 inch bassdriver, would depend on the full-range driver and x-over settings would't it ? There are quite a bit full-rangers that can take a fair amount of power crossed at 200 / 250hz Like which ones? Even something "beefy" like the Tang Band W4-1337 can only handle 25wLook at their sensitivity, do some simple math, and then realize where the bottleneck will be in your system (25w and 87dB efficient isn't loud and that driver has a ton more capability than most). Full range and high output never really works. Doppler distortion is also something you have to worry about at high levels considering the excursion will color the rest of the frequency range. Tweeters in general are capable of getting way louder. One other comment. Using a full ranger to me would mean using a serious midbass. Goal of having one driver play as much of the frequency range as possible means you can use a serious midbass (ie 8" or larger if space allows). Dynamic capability on that end is rather tough as well. Conveniently for most people that discussion never occurs because getting output out of a subwoofer is rather easy.

Peel and Seal?
And in case it wasn't clear. Do NOT buy Fatmat or Peel n Seal. They are a WASTE of money.

Welcome to the IHoP
I just need two and they can go on this. http://www.conceptboats.com/boat-models/fishing-models/36-sr-concept.html Obviously with a different wrap

Should have been on the cat. I put on 60 miles today and would have done a lot more, but had to be home by noon.

Considering this was your third comment I am sold, with one caveat. This one WILL get pissed on, is it still what you'd use?

Thinking about running these mids and need a tweeter suggestion and op
and Wanted to buy a pair to dick around with, but don't have anything to put them in right now. Glad you cleared that up. Heard anything you like? Wouldn't hurt to peruse Zaph's test and look for off axis response. If you do the rings, the 19's are way better off axis than the 25's, but I really like the 25's.

You don't dick around do you.

Matt, another bed question for you. I need a twin XL mattress pad cover for Aidan's bed. I EXPECT a lot of pissing and leaking and want a barrier. There are things like: Simmons vinyl: http://www.amazon.com/Simmons-Beautyrest-Waterproof-Mattress-Pad/dp/B003LOOQI4/ref=sr_1_3?s=bedbath&ie=UTF8&qid=1299904331&sr=1-3 A non-vinyl "waterproof" one: http://www.amazon.com/Newpoint-Terry-Waterproof-Mattress-Protector/dp/B001U3ZLJ6/ref=sr_1_2?s=bedbath&ie=UTF8&qid=1299904458&sr=1-2 And then the Luna, Protect-A-Bed, and others in the $40-60 range. If considering he is a toddler I should use a vinyl piece of shit with a better one on top and wash I am game. Just don't want to ruin his mattress, nor have cleaning hassles. What do you think?

Begginer PLZ help for those who are experienced
If you have to ask, no. Just start WAY lower and get a feel for things.

See if they will let you "test them out"

Welcome to the IHoP
Even if I had sheets J, I'd think about a normal King. I REALLY don't understand your wife and why she likes them. The cal's are longer and less wide. Not sure how that is an advantage if you are under 6'4"

I've got ice scratchers on my skid so if its froze up when I leave I'll stay lubricated. Something like this would look better than the plastic disposables I have now anyways. Stock units have non-removable bearings, but those you can service

room gain
well the air in the room is more compressed from the subwoofer because the volume of air is smaller, i would assume that would help spl isnt that what spl is at low frequency, a pressurized room by the sound wave? Not really. It is the amplitude of the sound wave. Room gain comes from constructive interference of waves which isn't directly related to volume at all, but indirectly through the reflections that create interference with itself. I understand the word is confusing so just think of it as sound level. Another comment. Pressure in the room is related to height above sea level, not size. Big room, small room in the same house will be at the same pressure.

Safe or not, I'm going. Willing to deal with mud in the bearings for fun in the sun. Might "enable" me to get to replace my bogey wheels with new ones

Thinking about running these mids and need a tweeter suggestion and op
Haven't heard those and there is no freq response plots to look at on the site. Guaranteed they will be good for midbass, midrange however without playing with them would be hard to determine. Considering, if I had to blindly recommend I'd rather use a full ranger up top with them. Of course that will limit your overall output, but allow you to still have killer midbass. Those aren't exactly efficient though either so with just a four channel output may not be something you'll get anyways, unless your amp is a beast. With your goals if you truly want a 2 way, you are probably better off with something that is more geared towards the vocal range than the midbass range. Your subs should take care of the lower octaves and in rap there isn't much between the lower octaves and the vocals so then I'd focus there.

SQ setup in Ford Ranger
Right now I have Pioneer TS-A6871R speakers in both front and back. I'm just looking for a sub or 2 to fill the missing bass. If you want to make the biggest SQ difference you'll start by changing those up, then worry about the sub. In the SQ realm the sub is least important part of the equation. I'm content with the speakers that I have right now. Later on if I need better speakers then I will get them...later. For me the sub is important. I wanted a nice sound quality sub for my system. You didn't quite follow. If you want SQ AT ALL your fronts need updating and the rears removing. No sub will help you have any until that is addressed. No real such thing as an SQ sub either, just an alignment and an integration into the rest of the equipment. Sure some are more geared towards alignments that are better for integrating into an SQ install, but that difference is somewhat trivial.
