what does it take to get 150dB @ 25Hz?
Krypton, you do continue to prove one thing and that is that you have a comprehension problem. Everything else just makes the internet laugh

Does it matters why he wants it to peak at a low freq? I don't know why you are ranting about it. He just sets a goal and tries to get to it. Some people think it's a failiure, i think it's a (expensive) lesson to learn Sometimes some people don't know any better or don't think for themselves, and making them think can inspire their own thoughts, potentially making them realize how dumb of an idea it was. It's been talked about at length with him. He wants it because he wants it. You can't argue reason with an unreasonable person, so we've all given up on that front. True. In that case, I think he should try to do a 150 @ 5 hz instead. Couldn't agree more. If he doesn't he is a big pussy.

For what purpose? Iced? If not, you are making too much at a time. If so, well then it depends on the water temp.

It's far more durable than paint, well, in a traditional paint. There are very hard paints that are heat-cured like powder coating and they are also electrostatic applied. You typically see these on OEM wheels. If you are going to have them coated, they will strip them down to bare metal first. You can only powder coat over powder and it has to be done right after the first coat, so you would have bare metal-powder-cure-cool-powder-cure. I don't know how much abuse your wheels will see, but I've had great success with normal spray paint (enamel) on wheels. IT's cheap and easy to touch-up if anything happens. Hell, scuff your wheels now, go grab several cans of paint, paint the wheels and see how it lasts. IT may cost you $30 and some time, but you may find it a cheap alternative to powder coating which could easily run $100+ per wheel. IT also give you the ability to easily touch up whenever you need. They won't see too much abuse since they will be the street wheels. Maybe some dirt roads but that's it. And touching curbs with my tires is unlikey I looked at a neighbors freshly refurbed wheels (sandblasted then powdercoated) and they turned out ok. Powdercoating was $5 / wheel, sandblasting was $30 for all 4. Not an outstanding job but way better than how mine look now, they are in horrible shape. For how much the powdercoating costs I don't think it's worth spending my time painting them. Otherwise I'd paint for sure and touch up when needed. WOW! At that price, it's a no-brainer. Yep, HOLY SHEEEE-ITE

Back To Basics (1974 Dodge Charger)
Hell I'd probably cut it even if it were collectible.

I'd cut the dash too. If it were ultra collectible then no, but that will be a nice driver.

Probably be a month before I get around to measuring in situ...as I either need to get an acquisition system from work or I have to carry my desktop up stairs. Figure some listening time is better to do first anyways. They are artificially reinforced atm due to being on a desk sitting next to my monitors. I think most people on DIY Audio would pull some more from the bass in the BSC, but I also expect that I like it a bit more than most being a retired upright bass player. So far I think my guess is right, but I have the resistors to pull it down and will experiment later on. I wish you could hear the Aura's Sean. The bass and double bass guitars sound so GOOOOOD! From the Beach Boys to Buckethead. I have just not yours I know you've heard them, your the one that turned me on to them. Thanks again btw. But have you heard them in a car, with a BTL reinforcing the bottom octave? I can say I am finally happy with my tuning. Now its time for I'd like to. Perhaps sometime this year I'll make it to CO.

Thanks. I wanted small, but anything smaller wouldn't cut the mustard unless I made an array and for nearfield that would be silly mo

Of course my dumbass used one of the factory edges on the wood. You'll notice one seam that isn't up to par, but it is hardly noticeable and solved by a little extra glue.

Oh, and thanks. Scrap wood ftmfw.

Well, how do they sound? I sure like the look of the drivers and the wood. Fabulous for what I've thrown at them. Don't want to review to heavy until I can play some real material on them that isn't compressed to hell. Sound eerily like headphones although my phones definitely sound better.
