Joke enclosures out of spare wood I had lying around, but they will probably be temporarily there a long time.

    Poly has been applied.
  3. Actually I'd guess its missing an inductor. Those can be replaced, but it is going to be hard to find one as shitty as that one

You can work on the boxes when you can't ride. Do you take the little man with you yet? Little man and snowmobile? Nope. You know at some point he will want his own. He better. We have to move before that happens though, can't keep 3-4 of them at this house.
  5. Could also repair/upgrade those crossovers rather easily....

  7. I was giving you an out. Obviously you were too stubborn to take it. The resistance that is seen in laminar flow is the same resistance to the air moving in a box. It is still not flow and I never said it was flow. Go re-read. You keep taking one phrase out of context in this whole thread. This whole discussion is about the fact that you were recommending NO BRACING which is flat out wrong based on the OP's first post. So now you're saying a term YOU said applied with the word "flow" in it, isn't flow? How can it not be flow if what you said is flow, isn't flow? I never used flow, but resistance. They aren't the same or even close. and based on that, nothing I've said is flat out wrong. You yourself said making it thicker IS a solution to making a box solid, making the answer to the OP, "a lot". A lot sure that isn't being contended, but bracing is important as well. Thickness isn't an end all be all solution.

My grate broke though. Should have replaced it with a metal one like the BGE has instead of the Viking ceramic.

I put mine into thermal overload twice two weeks ago. Putting in a pound of veal, pork fat, pork, ice and 4oz of water wasn't so nice. I don't have a cuisinart though so how else could I make Weisswurst. You guys need a Blendtec total blender Vitamix > Blendtec

Ah, its new. That's why. Looks like a knock off and considering there is nothing proprietary about ceramic I don't see why that is a negative. + it is almost half the price of a BGE. I will have to keep an eye out for these. Yup, they're basically a Chinese made BGE clone; played with a floor model at Lowe's a while back Quoted from the website, admiting that they are selling you junk.lol <P style="MARGIN: 0px 20px">From a customer: My firebox cracked. What should I do? First of all let us start out with a photo of my firebox. See how it has broken into 3 pieces. This is how it has been for two and a half years. There is no reason to remove it from the egg very often, but I have pulled it out here to show you how completely broken it is, yet it works just as well as a brand new firebox: A cracked/broken firebox. Almost everyone has had their firebox crack and break. While this probably shouldn't be called "normal", it is actually normal. What we all have found is that the firebox will continue to work just fine when cracked or broken. Owners have used their Grills for several years with cracked and broken fireboxes, so there is nothing wrong with continuing to use yours. You don't need a replacement firebox, as the current one will not cause any problems and will continue to work. As I have already said, the cracked and broken fireboxes work perfectly well. It is important to note that today's fireboxes crack and break, but the DO NOT disintegrate or crumble to dust. Once they crack or break, and the stress is relieved, they will probably crack no more and break no more. We are working on a fire box with a slit so it can take the stress of expansion and contraction better. Well, guess what you have when your firebox cracks and breaks? A multi-part firebox! Once your firebox looks like mine, it will probably provide good service for the rest of your life. True. Seen that on the forums before as well. No ones complained of that on the Viking though but good luck finding people that have them lol.

Are you finally using that bad ass table saw? I've used it for a few things Installing the oven, built some shelves, made picture frames, just haven't built the bathroom sink. I've never made a tenon joint before and didn't want to start with real expensive wood.
  14. I could EASILY build a vehicle in the mid 50's maybe even 60's for less then half that. :-/ My old Ram did a 147 at 28Hz with 2k and a shitty wall...... He won't listen.
  15. Don't forget they are fragile and can easily become paperweights.

  19. It will sound like shit. You NEED a crossover with those and preferably before the amp. Same with the tweeters. The 6x9's on the hand don't need one.
