I bought Alclair's as well. Personally it was for local service. Pretty impossible to try out all CIEM's and see how they sound, but I can tell you that even the cheap ones sound awesome. Better than my big ass AKG's... They will let you do the molding remotely if you need.

MK - if I had your C701/H701 combo and either only one analog or digital source do I still need a headunit for volume control? Reason I ask is that it would be a really simple boat install since all my other crap got jacked last year. I already have processing...but it was a monstrous shit show the way I built everything. 4 analog pots, line driver, 2 miniDSP's, a DC isolator, etc... I assume the answer is no, but have never had a C701.
