Bloomsburg University, link site is ridiculously hard to navigate so here is the link to the school of science and tech and to the physics and engineering tech department if your interested. The "Research" links were empty. Thought maybe I'd find something there.

Welcome to the IHoP
The good news is that you picked music that is easy to play Mostly 3 chord songs with an quick interlude of something else or a quick scale in the middle. Really nailing down progressions of chord changes and some scales will solve that. In particular those songs will all done with "power" chords. Called that way because they require way less fingerings and slide evenly up the whole neck of the guitar if you want to change keys. That is the beauty of rock and roll though as it is in general super easy to play compared to other genre's. Some lessons early on in particular from a classsical guitarist would be useful to make sure that you don't develop bad habits. Other than that I would shop for books and see what you find. I'd be glad to look at anything and help you narrow it down. I started with more guitar specific classical and less technique related pieces which for your needs I wouldn't encourage otherwise I could just dig around and tell you waht I have.

First SQ setup
And as I stated before the location and mounting of those drivers determines which ones you could use for that application. There is NO separating the two. I sure the hell wouldn't want to use the 360 that way, way better options. I will add though that I seriously doubt you are ready for an active 3 way if you truly want an SQ setup. You'd be much better off spending 6 months doing some tuning on a 2 way.

First SQ setup
He's got nearly 1800 posts here and has been around and already knows better than what he has asked, should realize that threads like this take more effort on his part, but probably really isn't interested in having an SQ setup We shall see I guess. His choice. Equipment is such a LITTLE part of the equation I really hate that it becomes the topic. Everyone is so lazy they just want to buy good sound and it DOESN'T work that way.

No game will teach you how to play. If you want to learn, start with classical. The real question is long term what are your goals... just looking to pick it up as a hobby, i'll continue doing it as long as its still entertaining to me. maybe it would be better to think of the game as a learning tool. the songs you play use the exact cords, etc as "real life". my dad has a classical (or acoustic guitar) in the house somewhere, i would have to see if it is in working condition but it might make for a better starting point then 300 dollars in gear. What do you want to play? My reasoning for classical is a bit unfair. It is by far the hardest instrument to play in the world in that regard, but it will make it super easy to play ANY rock song. I took classical guitar lessons from the time I was 6 throughout high school. I never really held any other type of guitar until 8th grade, but within a week of dicking around on an axe I had picked up more songs than all the other "band" members in our school and was put on stage a week later. It was super easy to make the transition. Throughout high school & college, I played guitar in a stage band (big band covers), a Metallica cover band, a reggae band, a classic rock band, all with never really needing to practice anything. A few bouts through any song and I was fine....the exception being Jazz. Holy shit is comping chords fast hard and nearly exclusively the reason I listen to so much of it. Everything else is just simple. A Jazz start is better with classical though as you really need the theory. Had some fun in college too, took guitar/piano lessons from Ray Charles's pianist. sounds like you got quite the head start on me with music. are big hands required for the classical guitar, looks like you need some ape hands to play that bitch. No. Some crazy ass Spaniards with dinky hands dominate that scene. Quite a bit ahead of everyone that I know in that regard. You've seen Ferris B's day off? Cameron's parents and mine were similar except mine had no money but had very strong beliefs on development. not familiar with the film (its 4 years older then me lol). from reading a summary of the movie i know a few friends from grade school with parents who were more along those lines with raising their kids. i was always a pretty smart kid so i think my parents didn't worry about development, etc. they were pretty much useless by the time i got to the greater than and less than symbols :lmao: what's really hilarious is that they really dont know what physics is or understand how that translates to a job.. i told them its kind of like engineering and they equate that with making big money lol i tried the drums in 4th or 5th grade. wasn't my thing i guess. i think ill start by getting my dad's old acoustic restrung and give it a shot? its an ugly ass guitar so if i decide to stick with it i'll be back with more question on purchasing my own, ill post some pics later. what do you think? any recommendations on how to get started? sources for learning the basics, etc? Scales and Chords. Not even sure I know what you listen to....that would perhaps change my recommendations. 4 yrs older,

First SQ setup
No, 2 way + sub. I suppose you "could" call that 3 way, but that doesn't make sense. Doors are already deadened, may add some more. I know how to install, everything I posted. I just hope it becomes what Im looking for. As for SQ recommendations there is NO separating install from equipment, but if you already know how to install everything then you realize this as well which then begs the question why didn't you share that info?

What kind of finder? Fish finder. Also called a Chart Plotter/Sonar Unit. A Lowrance HDS-5 and HDS-7 to be specific. If you'd like I can explain in more detail. Detail not necessary. I have an LCX-19c but have been thinking of upgrading. When I asked I didn't realize you worked with Lowrance Thats a good unit. If looking to upgrade I'd say go with the largest screen HDS unit you can afford and add the Structure Scan for Side Imaging and the advanced Downscan. Hummingbird have some good products as well, however, they are a little bit behind as far as technology is concerned when comparing the 2. I am not a Hummingbird guy. Do you get deals on HDS stuff?

witch line driver is best
You sound like you know from experience bro ... had you head up any guy's rear end lately ?? Only one I've been close to is my wife for 15 years ... The op was just asking for suggestions, You are being very rude in your statements. You sound like you are a smart guy, but your moderation skills suck ... You are the only moderator that uses profanity on just about every post ... That prorfanity and the female on you signature just looks bad for SSA ... I don't see how you get away with it ... Your funny. The op was asking for suggestions on something that will give him no benefit to use therefore the recommendation is simple, none. Considering his topic title it was only fitting to point it out. Witch Voodoo/snake oil etc have no place in real audio. Amusing that you take offense and have to then attack me, note I only go after the subject at hand and don't have some emotional response to it but you have to go and point out how you feel about my moderation skills. As for the profanity that is a direct quote are you recommending that I edit it? Fuck that.

My day job is tech support for Lowrance. That means i get to help old guys out on the lake figure out how to use these high tech devices. In the middle of the call the guy was like "hey give me just a second. i gotta piss real bad" he then set the phone down for a min and then came back after pissing off the side of his boat. <--would love a deal on a Lowrance

pm sent. PM not necessary, you can do it in public here. This isn't some childish bullshit website. So all private/personal issues need to be discussed for everyone to see? If you insist. My pm basically stated: I'm sorry his thread on ca.com got deleted, but it didn't follow the rules. It was nothing personal. I asked him to contact me in the future if he has a problem and i'll be happy to discuss it with him. PS. I found the changes that were made to my profile to be quite childish. Don't read in to everything. Nothing to hide then don't hide. REALLY simple.

If you need any contact info let me know I can provide you with some. I have a lot a contacts in this industry. I would really like to send some business your way, if at all possible. I appreciate it and know that I owe you something from before. Hit a roadblock mostly based on time and direction. ie, wasn't straightforward to integrate but there has to be a way, I just don't have time for an engineering project at the moment
