BM102 19" GunMetal Machined Face ET35 Staggered Wheels Set I like those too. They have VERY few in the offset I need. My tire guy says those are actual oem wheels but blems. Makes me feel better about them.

If you weren't being a jackhat you'd get a response. Don't worry though I am done with your thread. Enjoy the fail.

Amusingly when I call into conference calls in my company they refer to me as Canadian. Of course, I call CA Mexico so it is only fair. San Jose being N. Mexico.

I gave you the opportunity to let me help you with questions you have yet to answer that will really determine what I'd recommend. Can't do jack without that info and yes you are being pre-emptive. The relationship between processing (I just now know that you only have 24dB slopes from your LAST post), mounting location and aiming, along with the capability of the woofer are all extremely logical to sort out before buying anything. On top of that if you are planning to change things in the future that information should be included as well. There is NEVER any golden rule, specific guideline that always works, but instead a series of compromises that you need to outline where and what you will do that will surely help narrow down driver choices. Don't get me wrong I like the Seas Neo's, but 9 out of 10 people I see buy them use them inappropriately and are not happy.

I don't love the options, but I also think I should probably do something. I am in love with the car btw.

New 295/40/20 which I would need otherwise will cost me at least $1400 so its a wash, but I get to run snows in the snow. lol

20's alone are nearly as much as 19's with wheels. I "could" order them from the Tire Rack for less atm, but the mount and balance over three years will make them way more expesnive and I'll have nothing in the end. I figure the Privat's above I can buy for $1900 and in 3 years sell for at least $500 with some rubber left.

What size are they? 295/40/20 Ouch. Snows in 19's are by far the cheapest options. My choices of wheels are: Legende or Akzent http://www.konigwheels.com/Privat-Home/One-Piece

driveway tough to get up? Not a problem...except on the steep side, but regularly the Silverado won't make it up that in 4wd either. Stopping is more of a concern. I have to look down the driveway long and hard before I go as I cannot stop once I start. That also is not unusual, but the thing is so damn fun to drive I hate feeling like sally and snows would take care of that. If I can find some with wheels for less than $1500 I figure I can use them for 3 winters and sell them for about half which is nearly what it would cost to rotate the tires 2x a year if not a savings. I will also kill the brand new tires that are on it faster than my lease running out which means a new set anyways so no matter what at least $800 is spent, just figuring out the most logical way to spend it. At this point I am thinking snows.

Time Alignment and Me.
Probably are way wrong. How did you set them up? Btw, there is no "average" setting which is exactly why active setups aren't so great the first time out. I would expect that 9 out of 10 people could take a passive set and turn them into active and make them sound much, much worse. The 1 in 10 would have the opposite result. The short answer to your starting point is to listen to each driver independently and figure out where they sound good up/down to (frequency domain). Then to start experimenting with combinations between the two drivers. Don't forget to add phase, eq, and t/a to the mix and don't expect what sounds best alone will sound best together. It can take weeks of tuning for it to really get dialed in, but with a scientific approach of eliminating variables you should be able to surpass a passive integration within a few hours. The last 5% is the hardest part...and most important. Different responses and trade-offs. The question you ask is like asking what is the difference between the Seas Neo and the LPG. Not particularly easy to answer. In the case of normal tweeters it is easier actually as they aren't going to be horn loaded which will further change the answer. The biggest difference is you are comparing a great brand, a shitty brand, and one I have hardly no experience with. Generically speaking looking at that list I'd buy the B&C's but not for technical or objective reasons, but historical as I have been regularly impressed with their drivers. I would say the opposite about Selenium.

LOL! We do think alike. Sean my nespresso machine is making some rough sounds. There is some solution I'm supposed to run through it, can I home brew it? I used the pack I got with the machine a while back and never got more. I hope to hell it's not crapping out on me. It's only make a thousand shots or so. Not sure what is in it, I buy some powder I run through mine. I would imagine it would work in yours.
