At shows at least. In Hmong St Paul it is a different story.

That shit wouldn't fly around here.
  3. Your opinion is based on a VERY small sampling. And no this isn't a knock on the Q, but when you say "any 12 fails in comparison" it shows you haven't heard all that many.

Only part of the post I understand. Thanks Ryan! You made me re-read my post and realized the "normal" terms in it, never once thought about that while I was typing though. Here it is again. Gonna get drunk in the morning with my whole family and we all are going to pretend it is civilized. Rich Uncle will up the ante and bring some expensive champagne and I have to serve something to eat. pancakes, sour cream, and fish eggs are an option but I done knocked up my wife and she can't eat fish eggs now same problem with eating a raw scallop with some vegetables and a sauce no cheese, I don't like it in the morning before a meal, but after yeah baby. I love deep fried shit with champagne, but it is a pain in the ass for 11 people and fuck that shit. Plus its breakfast. Tempt me. Someone in the family will yell at me if I put garlic in our snack or anything really strong tasting. Considering I only have to make the turkey, gravy, potatoes, & stuffing I'll make something else to. I have access to nearly anything. More people will see this here, but if I get a lot of ideas I'll move it to homeaudio I would go with something over the top rich. You could try individual or just small slivers of quiche. You can add a spinach inside or out. You can add bacon inside or out. I would make a baconey rich quiche I think with maybe a smal nibble of bacon on top of your favorite delicate greens. I have served quiche as an apetizer before and if it's a small peice and well done it's a hit. Definitely had thought about a quiche as well. Eggs and bubbly are almost as classic as raw fish and bubbly. Damnit I want to serve some sashimi. How about a smolked salmon or lox slice on top of quiche with greens? It's not exactly what you want, but the smolked salmon could take the place of bacon and would be AWESOM. It would be classic and contemporary. I like the combination, and am even hungry for lox but alas it is raw fish again and Kari can't have it. Although in this case it isn't expensive so that is acceptable. Not sure I have time to make lox before Thur AM though
  11. Incorrect. Time alignment should be used so that all the drivers are producing sound that is coming to your ear at the same time. Regardless of how many drivers he has producing whatever frequency, placement can be corrected with alignment and phase filters. Not true, unless of course you have time alignment for EVERY driver. I will add that it is another compromise in car audio that stinks as it would be way better to do this with physical placement instead of electronics

Thanks for the input J. The first I just am flat out not a baker, the second must be tart otherwise it will kill the bubbly but an interesting idea, and the third, well not with Dom I like the tart idea, but already baking 4 pies for the day.

And that I also have in my freezer I realized I "can" but it is about another bird that day. Just like I could use duck fat for my stuffing, but will be using turkey.
  18. Spot on for both accounts.
  19. I've been looking at the HT-S9300THX I've read almost 200 post on http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1057095&page=6 and they've all been great positive feed back on the older model HT-S9100THX.. so i'd imagine the newer model is better then that. I've been thinking about getting a Onkyo receiver and adding speakers like you've mentioned.. because HTIB speakers aren't the best but, i've read that the receiver in the S9300 is almost EXACTLY the same as the 606, it seems to have everything i need and it's about the same price as the S9300THX.. so i am thinking about getting the S9300 and then if needed upgrade the speakers later on. Positive feedback from those who know nothing about audio and have crappy hearing. You also said it yourself, your room is too small for 7.1 In your budget 2 speakers will sound better than the 7.1 EASILY. I thought Plasmas are poo poo and LCD is the way to go, am i wrong? Yes, completely. Plenty of seriously kick ass Plasma's. However, HTIB also poo poo...that you didn't get right either.

tomato acid and champagne aren't so friendly, but a mushroom risotto would make for a nice three bite dish

Also looking for a Mercedes forum with some audio knowledge. It would be sweet if someone had a hack for the Ipod controller and I'd love to know if there is any possibility of doing whatever. Not replacing the h/u as the Nav, Phone, Rear TV integration isn't something I'll bypass. I also won't be adding a sub, but still curious on what is up front and what I need to do something.

More into making bite sized somethings than a dip. Yeah? You only get 1.

<-- has never made a souffle I had thought about a frittata, but that seems like too much breakfast. Although the real cure is to turn anything into a bite. If I had 12 shot glasses...

I have some Chanterelles in my fridge. Could do a lightly seared scallop with a buttery mushroom. Could even cook the mushrooms in the turkey fat I put in the fridge earlier today.
