Yep, not overly dry or bright but complex and mellow.

Welcome to the IHoP
Only part of the post I understand. Thanks Ryan! You made me re-read my post and realized the "normal" terms in it, never once thought about that while I was typing though. Here it is again. Gonna get drunk in the morning with my whole family and we all are going to pretend it is civilized. Rich Uncle will up the ante and bring some expensive champagne and I have to serve something to eat. pancakes, sour cream, and fish eggs are an option but I done knocked up my wife and she can't eat fish eggs now same problem with eating a raw scallop with some vegetables and a sauce no cheese, I don't like it in the morning before a meal, but after yeah baby. I love deep fried shit with champagne, but it is a pain in the ass for 11 people and fuck that shit. Plus its breakfast. Tempt me. Someone in the family will yell at me if I put garlic in our snack or anything really strong tasting. Considering I only have to make the turkey, gravy, potatoes, & stuffing I'll make something else to. I have access to nearly anything. More people will see this here, but if I get a lot of ideas I'll move it to homeaudio

Excuse me, copy including the comments of course. So if you respond please quote the whole chain as that will make it uber easy for me.

Welcome to the IHoP
Hmm, food question for you. 11am Dom moment. I need to pair something with it, will offer a rasberry to float in it as that's a breakfast treat but unsure what else I want to do. Only 11 people so I am willing to do something fun. blini, creme fraiche and caviar is an option but my wife shouldn't really eat raw anything at the moment and it is sort of unfair to drop $100 on something tasty and not share same problem with some sort of sashimi bite, at the moment I want scallop BAD cheese is something we will have after the turkey and it shouldn't be had twice so close together I am not doing anything fried...unless someone has a clever amuse-bouche that would pair perfectly The champagne is too nice for anything too BIG but I am open to pretty much anything. Considering I only have to make the turkey, gravy, potatoes, & stuffing I should have a ton of time. If it needs to be fresh seafood, not a problem as I have to drive to Coastal for some oysters for the stuffing anyways. More people will see this here, but if I get a lot of ideas I'll move it to homeaudio

A/V Suggestions on Room Entertainment
Home theater in a box :( $700 for 5 speakers, a sub and a receiver is REALLY not going to cut it on the new market. You'd be WAY better off buying a good receiver and a set of bookshelves. You could use them as fronts now and then move them to the rear when more budget is available. Either way, even in that budget I'd be shopping your local Craigslist like hell.

Bass restoration processors
Why not just invest in some monster midbass and listen to it like it was recorded? It will sound WAY better.

First Post, Possible Setup
I am teh confused. You like the Focal's but complain of the brightness of the Bostons? 3 way and passive is almost never good in a car, the exception being if you can mount all three drivers really close to each other. Q-logic panels are really just a starting point. They need a ton of reinforcement and venting into the fender, but can be the cosmetic portion of your install if necessary. It really sucks to have no capability to aim as well. On top of that it is easier usually to get midbass out of a door, in particular if you are prone to cutting corners. As for your budget and what you like, I'd spend some time listening to as many sets as you can with your music. If it is on a sound board don't expect to get an idea of midbass capability and don't listen to anything on axis unless of course it will be that way in your car. Currently I am confused as the Focal you like are way bright, but you seem to like them but not the Bostons (which I haven't heard the new ones, but it is unusual for them to be anywhere near as bright).

Welcome to the IHoP
Btw, holy crap is it strange to not have to be searching for a car in every waking free internet minute. I love the fact I finally did something. Paperwork is being shared today, it better go well.

I don't think it would work for them. They need the air flowing over the car for down force. F1 is all about controlling down force. That's what gives them the control they have. If you're stalling the air, you are decreasing the down force which will help top speed, but when you go to take a turn at 150mph, you are dead meat. You'd just need to change the "wings" then. Obviously a lot more to it, but if you can cut the wind better you'd gain a lot of speed adding downforce is easy in comparison. The efficiency gains if real would definitely pay off. Again a guess, but I can't imagine it not being the case. But the dimples don't cut through the air, they stall the air over it removing the drag. I'm no engineer, but I am an avid fan of F1 and all their technology and money goes into decreasing weight, and controlling downforce. This past season, McLaren came out with what they called and F-duct and it is the same principle. They used a small duct to control the air over the wing. It stalled the air on the staights to decrease drag and downforce on the rear wing. SO much of their body work is to control how the air hits the wing. They are directing it. Stalling the air over the body would negate that ability. Hell, maybe they could do it just by altering the wings, but I don't think so given as much attention they spend to controlling it now. I think in their case, it is a need. Again though if forward propulsion could be 5% more efficient due to decreased drag they would be happy for it. Of course assuming that it doesn't effect downforce or that they are capable of counteracting the added forward efficiency.

- Bass freezes beer? wtf!
the beer wasnt frozen when we bought it we check when the guy said that about the freezer jackass Impressive. One comment and you are reduced to name calling. It WAS below its freezing point, just not in the bottled/canned state. Didn't you watch the link the End put up? Either you shook it causing a change in the CO2 in the container or opened it releasing CO2 which both have the net effect of then allowing the beer to turn into a solid. Previous to that point it was cold enough to be frozen, but not with the unmolested CO2 in the bottle.- BL vs SSD
It doesn't "relate" completely different drivers.- Welcome to the IHoP
And I do have more pictures of the car, but the guy at the dealership who is in charge of pictures REALLY, REALLY sucks. The one I posted is shit and the rest are worse. When it arrives I will do the car justice.- Welcome to the IHoP
- Welcome to the IHoP
The car is in Michigan, I haven't even seen it yet. Hard to have more pictures. It won't be here for a couple weeks. My company's lease company is doing the paperwork today though.- Welcome to the IHoP

Yep, definitely killed some underbody treatments.- Welcome to the IHoP
I don't really see how the dimples could be banned, in particular in all racing. You'd think someone would do it if it truly helped. As stated efficiency is a separate problem from downforce so those engineering tasks should be independent.- Welcome to the IHoP
No, but I decided I will do that with a smaller group instead of the expanded family. Going to Cub to buy mine today.- Welcome to the IHoP
<--reducing Turkey stock right now. House smells fucking awesome. And NO, I will not be using the Electrolux "Perfect Turkey" button on Thursday. I did almost shit yesterday when my turkey was cooked in an hour and 15 minutes though. Holy fuck that's fast.- Welcome to the IHoP
J, we are lucky no matter the sex. Lucky that they are more into Lego's. She started the same ship like a year ago. My wife wants to buy our son a stove and stuff to play cook with for Christmas. I had one and think I almost turned out okay, so perhaps he can to.- Welcome to the IHoP
Need to feed him more cat Matt.
