You are dwelling on the wrong bit of information AGAIN. He asked for input on what would fit his needs and yes he did reference kick panels, but when you read further you'll see he referenced doors and is generally open to good suggestions which yours was not as it didn't address his needs. Sure you have kicks and he said kicks, but how does that help him, I'll make it easy and cut out what wasn't his request so you can read it better this time. Active 2 wsy, SPL route, reference levels, low distortion, rockin' midbass, mellow tweets, with a budget of $500. You told him to copy you which will be not loud enough, missing midbass, and made no reference of how the tweeters you have fill his needs nor can we be sure they meet the budget. And you bypassed the active altogether, although perhaps you don't know what that means.

Actually you didn't even answer my first question, but perhaps you don't know the answer...just like you didn't know what song you tuned your enclosure for. Equipment isn't that important. By no means am I saying arbitrary equipment is necessary, but no need to split hairs and spending extra regularly doesn't buy you anything. A great install of mediocre equipment will always beat a mediocre install of great equipment. ALWAYS. Oh, I understand exactly what they could be used for, but am also sure that isn't why you are using them. Of course you could clarify this in less than a sentence, that is assuming you know. Another way to do this if you aren't sure because someone else is doing your install is to describe what processing you will be using on your rears. You aren't part of that we. You can easily prove things, but again instead of 'tooting your horn' citing what you think you've done, just answer the question and it will be obvious whether you are actually helpful or just posing. I completely disagree, I could give a crap what anyone else has. I am a music lover and want to have the best sounding system for me. Rarely am I even interested in demoing it for anyone as I don't care what they think. So far your suggestions have been to copy you or use what gear you have and regularly for applications that are completely different than yours. So either you really don't get it or you give terrible advice. Not expensive and also not special. Worrying about the acoustic signature of your amplifiers is the least of your worries, you have many other things that make a much bigger difference. I hope BCA does shock the world, but considering there is no new technology in the drivers I really don't expect to be wowed. I am sure that there are many comparable and better drivers available, although I'd love to be proven wrong. If they are so shocking, perhaps you could explain ANY technical advantage they will have over all the other drivers currently available. Are you thick? You remember the other thread where you admitted you lied about those frequencies even being in ANYTHING you listen to?

Yes, majorly wrong. Showing off is for junior high or elementary school. Most of us are in the hobby to have the best sounding system that we can. Impious didn't "explain" your system. In fact, if you understood it he pointed out what you should be concerned about and only touched on the surface. Many more things we could help you with. As to your recommendation to the OP, you didn't listen. He wants loud, you didn't offer that and nowhere near. You completely missed out on his actual question.

What if I answered YES to everyone of your questions, would that make my credentials better so you'd actually offer help instead of gibberish. Funny thing is, I can and AM trying to help you improve your score and believe me if you listen and interact positively it will. Unlike yourself I'll be glad to let my knowledge and answers speak for myself and not post my "history". Secrets? What secrets?? Cable's system is just what it appears to be, and nothing more. It's a K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Stupid) system. No 30 drivers, no 10 amps, no high dollar head units, no 128 band mono eq's, no super computer required to run all the processing. It is so simplistic, that it blows you away that the sound of that system, comes from THAT system, and it scares the hell out of systems that 10x as much. I saw, heard and discussed the previous systems in his truck and will surely do the same in any updates. I'm not afraid the give critical analysis of his system and expect the same from him about mine. I think his truck sounds better than mine due to the awesome staging, he thinks mine sounds better tonaly, and we both are waiting to hear SQ_MGB's. Golden attitude, please get over yourself. He's enjoying his system and competing with it. You've offered him help several times, yet he's not asked for it. I guess here come my ban! Secrets was a joke, he didn't want to share them. If you guys would hop off your equipment touting horse you'd see what is happening. Funny you claim no high dollar head units but run Linear Power. Stop being equipment rubes and instead realize it is the INSTALL that matters. Lol, no one is going to ban anyone but we will laugh.

Perfect compared to some other idiot. Really get off your high horse, equipment doesn't buy you anything and you have shown over and over again that you don't comprehend what is necessary. If you have to tout your "experience" to give your comments merit, then obviously your comments have no merit on their own. Notice you don't see other people on here citing why they are the cats meow. There is a reason for that. Stop.

Holy crap, Roseau, a town of 2800 just placed 4th against schools of ANY size in the tournament that draws more Pro recruiters to watch than any college event and all other high school events. If they'd step down to A instead of AA they'd smoke everybody.

If you want to go further in competition you need to open your mind. Currently your "secrets" aren't enough once there is real competition. Not my worry if you don't want to do better, but your golden attitude is amusing.

Stop with the win garbage. No one gives a fuck. Prove yourself with your comments, not some "award". And your setup will NOT satisfy the OP at all. Considering you are looking for beyond reference levels I'd contemplate some horns. I don't mean some pro audio bullet crap either, but something like a set of ID's. They will do more than you need level wise and can be made to stage and sound great as well. If they are possible that will limit the 8's you can pair with, but a 2 way is possible and can reach your needs.

I understand when and how rears can be effective...but you don't have the processing for that. Spending the money improving your fronts will yield you way better results and scores. I am also surprised that both tweeters out of phase is the best setup. I'd play with that some more. Try ALL combinations of phase between the fronts. *possible you are hiding that you do as I am unfamiliar with the detailed specs on the LP stuff, but it doesn't seem so from your description

mounting amp on enclosure
A sandwich of many layers is more effective, but who knows what is enough. The cheaper the quality of your amp the more I'd worry.
-
Rattlebox317's new build
I'd be worried a little about your box changing due to increased losses. Inverting that much of a cantilever with a small mounting surface can add to it. Flush mounting helps, especially if you are tight on your cuts.

Welcome to the IHoP
Then you have 2 espresso's to go. IMO it isn't an espresso if it isn't a double, but that is partly because I hate loading a single portafilter as they are hard to tamp in. Plus 16gr of coffee seems like a normal "dose" to me.

Impious, you meant size of your pinna. Not height. Either way spot on. Running passives (if they are the stock ones) with drivers separated that far can be a nightmare, in particular with such a high crossover point. I'd look for a more robust tweeter that you can cross lower and it will improve your staging a TON. This will require a leap to active which will also give you a large improvement and be a much better use of that extra amp that you are adding instead of the rears. I'd also try to tame some of the reflections as the Silvy dashes are terrible for making anything coherent.

Settings available on said processors, aiming choices, deadening, mounting (ie under the kick) and so on would help us help you.

Save your money. REALLY. Rears aren't going to help and will hurt.

Welcome to the IHoP
Ewwww I'll always be a Craftsman guy, I have a toolbox FULL of Craftsman tools. I just needed some calipers from Harbor Freight, Sears doesn't carry any good set. 30 years ago Craftsman was good. Sears put them out of business took them over and ruined them. Don't get me wrong, I still buy them as the warranty is worthwhile considering it then becomes a lifelong tool even if it wasn't via its build quality. I love all hand tools with lifetime warranties; MAC, Matco, Crafstman, Cornwell, Kobalt, its all good power tools are a different matter air tools I don't know a damn thing about (anyone know good air tool brands?) Good airtools are expensive. For the ones you aren't using all that much I am a huge fan of the Northern Tool ones. A real beefy impact though they do not have.

Fi Q (Size?) vs Type R for = output
Here we can make it simple. Almost ANYTHING sounds better (notice I didn't use SQ ) than a Type R. This would include a BL and even a BTL. Getting louder than a Type R is harder, but again both the Fi B drivers would *assuming you can build an enclosure* read the posting guidelines in my sig, it will help you get a much better answer if you actually followed them when you made a thread

fi q vs sundown z15 or ? Port type suggestions also...
I think that is exactly is what has been said in the thread-- that they are similar in the needs they fill. Your second sentence is exactly dead nuts on. A BL is capable of sounding better than what 99% of people who ask for an SQL sub or a loud SQ even think a sub can sound like. And I would also agree that these same people would HATE the way a real SQ sub sounded.

1 SSD 18" ported or 2 SSD 18" sealed
And realistically you are going to misread what the sensitivity means anyways. Reading just one of the T/S parameters does not a full story tell.
-
Fi Q (Size?) vs Type R for = output
If you are looking for the "same" amount of SPL then you are NOT looking for SQ. Not even close. There is a reason that there are Noob Posting directions on the site and you seem to have ignored them all. Comparing a Q to a Type R is a joke and makes absolutely NO SENSE.

The Toyota "Sticking Gas Pedal Syndrome"
Amusing as you bit the propaganda big time as well. The Ford is more reliable, regularly less boring, and at least as good of a car. Sucks that somehow the media has made a devil of it all and convinced Americans differently.
