As others stated, terrible idea to just add another woofer. You have to replace what you have, not add to it. Also, you don't need 4-5V outputs, not at all what I'd recommend looking for spec wise when digging for a head unit. A more general budget and goals would get you a lot further to meeting what you want.

Why 3kW? Sounds to me like you are doing everything for all the wrong reasons. Perhaps a goal and overall budget would help us direct you better.

The Q and W7 aren't similar at all. Curious to know what he was impressed about the W7 with. It would help us understand what will work for him better. Also need to know how big of a box he is willing to have, what size amp (or budget). Oh and don't write off the Kickers, although dual CVR's isn't what I'd probably choose from them.

Any more than my target price and it isn't worth it. You nailed that. I did only look in Yadabashi, but as stated rather confusing store considering it is 10 levels big and has everything. All around electronic town in Akihabara I saw no sign either, but that really wouldn't make the easy to spot locations neither. $1200 is retarded.
