  1. I've NEVER seen a HT sub that can do anything on todays movies that isn't not only playing below its Fs but regularly they are even tuned below. It really isn't a brick wall on any driver, just a region where you can start to hurt things if you don't know what you are doing.
  2. And if you make it too easy for him he is just going to go and make another stupid thread about a different kind of box

There's a guy on ModularFords.com that had just a tune and a removed or modified air box and ran 12.70s. Check this out: 2010 Taurus SHO - ModularFords.com If it is easily removable for service and they had a suspension package I'd be more excited. Definitely curious to see how it drives. Going to ask on lease payments as well. Probably going to lease for exactly what an 07 M5 will. Then all it would buy me is cheaper insurance and gas of which neither I pay for... Ask them about X-plan pricing. Shit though, even for another hundred or two, I'd have to go with the M. X-plan what? My guess is that they will be exactly the same. Nearly the same price and although the M is 4 years old its residual as compared to its sale price in 3 years with another 36k miles is that the residual will be similar. Actually I expect the M to be cheaper, unless Ford is subsidizing the lease on the SHO which I bet they are.
  4. It is being used as a mid in a 2 way and you'd be surprised how low it can play in that regard. For its price, it is hard to beat in particular for its lfe. You obviously chose not to port a sub for your HT I guess...

Seen any mods that are warranty friendly? Easily removable of course works.

sad yet exciting day. You get a new ride picked out? Sort of. Not exactly as there is nothing at my price point right now, but I am not so worried. I gave you something in your price range, but it's not German, so you won't buy it. While you are possibly right, I am still going to go drive one. It isn't like I haven't already had a couple Just figured I couldn't in Japan and now that we have another 10" of fresh snow, waiting at least a day or two makes sense. Great idea though, perhaps tomorrow.

Considering they are only $45,000 why not? Exactly why I'll only buy a new M if it is fully warrantied though. Holy shit would you just puke if the motor died otherwise.
  12. Your sub could be ran at 1 ohms or 4 ohms, so you could of got any amp that does 1000watts at 1 ohms but with that JL amp make sure you wire your sub to 4 ohms only. Yeah, I wanted to run it at 4ohms. I have read, and looked over the specs/science part, and from what I gathered, 4ohms is better sounding than 1ohm. I will def be running the JL at 4 ohms. Completely inaudible. NOT a reason to choose an amplifier.
  13. Is your only goal louder?
  14. Exactly what is the biggest box you can fit and exactly what do you mean by the clarity wasn't there with the 15's? Until you answer both questions which have been asked before no one can help you with anything.

I won't be buying any sort of car until at least 2 of mine are sold.
  16. I REALLY doubt that he is and also am dubious that a Q is the right choice. Hasn't shared enough info with us though to draw any conclusions.
  17. "Sound great and get loud" -- nice description, lol. Not as loud as a ported enclosure and significantly limited frequency response in comparison. Difficult to design right as well. Liking the more for daily just means you got UBER lucky on your design or had a really crappy ported design. "Seems to have a better response" leads me to believe that it is all luck or placebo effect. x10,000 ... and Chris should know this as EVERY thread he makes I make that comment

Ah, that one is severely underpriced so I am sure it is a scam.

Haven't been in one in years.
  23. The buzz is a misplaced forum boner. Better options at every price point.
  24. They are called Bandpass enclosures for a reason. They roll off quick up high and down low and work in a very narrow range.

Spoke to soon. Is that absurdly cheap? Holy shit. Perhaps I should just get one of those myself too and say fuck leasing through work.
