This is untrue. In fact, the more subs you have, the less power you have to feed them to keep the same output. One 15" on 1000 watts is theoretically the same as two 15s on 500 watts. And then you add power compression and it should even be more output on the two.

That is a box problem, the L7 is a capable sub. Mids aren't supposed to come from a sub, ever. Depending on your goals the L7 can be a great sub. I am an SQ head when it comes to cars, but I chose an L7 for my sisters boat as for the space it was going to give me the most output in the range that would make her happy.
