  1. You need to worry WAY more about the layout and design and WAY less about the components. The cause of an issue in your sound will be unrelated to any of the above. Until you really know what you are doing the Dayton caps are more than adequate for your needs. Instead of creating a series of non-sense threads, please instead consider making a thread discussing what you are trying to accomplish and specific questions towards that. This won't go anywhere good.

Kinda curious as to why you wouldnt run them in a 2-way setup. They fall apart in the mids. Fine for many, but I like transparent voicing in the midrange and that wouldn't be their strength. Super hard to match them with a tweet that is worth a shit without going large format too. Sure the Seas is fine, the Scan-speak stellar, but I'd make my compromises elsewhere setting up a 2 way. Midbass though they are machines at.
  3. I would have checked something then, instead I just stated what I do do.
  4. Pointing at you isn't always best. Pointing near you most likely will be though. Each driver takes some experimenting to figure out the best direction. I get amused when people want a rule of thumb or "best" setup as it is always vehicle AND tweeter/mid dependent. I'll give you one rule though. Firing in front of you is better than behind you, above you better than below you, and L/R rarely should be pointing exactly the same way (inverted). Other than that, experimentation is your friend. After all it is for your ears anyway, so if you like it at that time it is right for you.
  5. OFF was an exaggeration. Mine are in the doors firing at the other door. Not super high in the door either as I used the stock Silverado mounting locations. As a general note, consider on axis directly pointing at you and off axis 90 degrees from that as you'd never be listening to a speaker facing the opposite direction Some tweeters have HUGE roll-offs at only 30deg, so planning for axis is completely necessary.

Sounds good, it surely isn't that I don't want to discuss it. More than game, just want to make sure to not have to correct the noobies all the time. Real easy to move once it's done if it goes the right direction

No I don't think the topic is a good idea. If you want you can discuss it here, or make a topic in the RTMS section. Too many buffoons will post if you make it out in the open. If it becomes beneficial we can edit appropriately and move it out to the normal forum.

You are asking because of Duran's comment which didn't make sense in the first place. It isn't about axis but about stage. No set answer or pattern will appear. My truck is a great example. Everything is really off axis and down low. Because of this the stage height suffers which a few of the guys on here who have heard it can comment on. I could raise it electronically but at the cost of my ideal FR which is a no-no to me. I'd much rather give up height in this case and instead have a nice response. I think your rear test was highly flawed and gave you the wrong impression, but considering the mishmash you have going on up front and your desire for ear bleeding loud that isn't a surprise. If you do a study and ask the opposite, ie who has rears and why, you will find that it is a bunch of people who really don't know much about sound nor do they have a good ear for it. *note: there are uses for rears and integrations that can help SQ, but none of them have EVER been broached on this site. just putting the note out there to show it is 100% of the time, but again this is very specific and requires heavy duty processing and a serious understanding of what you are doing. The question I have for you is what does it bring to the table in your install. I really don't get it at all. Subjectively I really, really, really, really hate music coming from behind me.
  9. Mine are about as far off axis as you could get them.... It really comes down to more the whole package. If your sub is truly integrated well (ie non localizable) with your fronts then rears will just destroy everything you have going on. The other problem with rears is the budget they soak up. 99.99% of the time that money would be WAY better spent on the fronts. I will agree that if your fronts aren't setup right, you might miss the rears but that isn't because the rears truly help. I also don't buy the "surround" sound thought. Nothing that you have for your car is recorded in surround sound so that is just not truly the case. Sound all around you, well again this is a staging problem. If your front stage is so thin and discombobulated that there is no coherence then of course it won't sound like you have any depth or anything in the rear. On the other hand, if it is well balanced and setup well you won't miss it one bit and neither will your rear passengers.

BB's own Enterprise Server. It is bulletproof which is why they own the business smart phone market. Seems to me though that it shouldn't be so hard with a smartphone of any type though.

The one thing that might deter you, you cannot surf the web and have a phone call at the same time. They might change that by mid year though. What would deter me is if the email client is bs.

Ever seen a pair of 24W 34L Levi 501's? I used to own some that were baggy and not really long enough.

I was 6'4" and 135 in high school. Does that help? Yep, I've gained 80lbs and only grown 3"
  18. Only way to really tell is to do a blind A/B test, otherwise Pyschoacoustics will dominate.
  19. I would disagree to a certain extent. Normal mp3 compression is crap, but at 320k you won't hear the difference in particular in a car. Hell I'd bet you wouldn't in a pair of headphones. Most people couldn't hear the difference at 192k. Don't assume because a song is in a good format it is a good recording. As I stated before that genre of music generally is recorded like shit. Flac, Mp4 or original CD won't save its ass.
  20. Is your system for you or for your friends. I'll guarantee you one thing, if you build an SQ setup and play it for your friends to show off they won't be impressed and will ask you where the bass is. Most people are idiots with how they like their subs to sound. Buy music you want to hear and listen to it. If that doesn't impress them, don't worry about it.
  21. You just picked genre's of music that are recorded extremely poorly. Jazz or Classical will buy you WAY more choices. More to quality than just non-mp3 btw. These are recorded well: Sheffield Recordings And yes I realize they call Rock -> Pop, but so do I. Anything that has been "popular" recently fits into the category at least that is how I sort my music at home.

I need a bumper for a Ford 500, 2005, Red Fire G2. Any idea where to look?
  23. Interesting. My 8455 doesn't have that hiss, neither did my 8053. You seem to want everything and buy nothing., but it isn't like Eclipse built them anyway. More or less they are still available. What's wrong with wanting? I'm not exactly rich, and neither is my family. Dreams are good. I do have a tendency to get carried away though Nothing, but you state it in nearly every thread even somewhat related. No one really wants to read what you want when it is everything.
