  1. And fried >> baked
  2. Ah okay, just like when you make hashbrowns. I use a salad spinner for that. I took the "rung out" to be akin to "loaded" for a baked.
  3. By resistance do you mean impedance? If so, how are you measuring the impedance at that frequency? Outside of chasing tenths there is absolutely no need to measure power anyways. Just set your gains with the scope at a non-clipping point and play away. If you are trying to eek every last drop out of a setup, different story but for something that will never see a competition it is a joke as you ear really can't tell the difference. I am saying just tune the amp without any output load on it. This will give you where the amplifier clips. Then you can square the output voltage and divide by the impedance of preference. Say you wanted what it puts out at 1 ohm, couldnt you just divide the squared output voltage by 1? Sorry I should have been more clear. Nominal impedance and installed impedance aren't always so close so it would be a crude approximation, but more than good enough if you aren't chasing tenths.

My family does a polish rye borsht. It's "off the hook" Definately sour soup. We add in some sausage from Kramarchek's ham and eggs, and then fresh horseradish. THAT will knock out my sinus's. We eat this as a breakfast BTW. I have never found someone outside my family who had it for the first time and loved it... then again I haven't invited any eastern europians to easter or christmass breakfast! lol Breakfast? Got me there. I bet I'd like it the first time and am not an Eastern European. Of course, unfair to you I did live in Russia for 3 months.

I have never had that!! What seafood? sounds so good! I usually do bay scallops and shrimp, but have been known to do a fish with a white flesh as well. Spinach can be a nice adder also.
  6. Rung out? You got me on that Dylan, not a term I've heard about potatoes before.
  7. Thanks. I wouldn't call it a problem though, but instead an opportunity. This thread is not only about Christmas but expanding my ideas for breakfast in general. Anything that you all really like I feel I should add to my repertoire or at least try it twice to see if I'll like it. I am good with all other meals, but pretty generic around breakfast / brunch time.
  8. Large isn't necessary, there will just be a few of us so details can be done I like the ideas so far, but will add I don't own a waffle maker. So that is the only thing nixed so far. As for ethnicity, we are Norwegian/German crosses living in the Great White North; however, my whole family has a taste for all things ethnic so anything goes. World travel and eating are about our only hobbies. Matt I like the green/red salsa idea. Of course in New Mexico they have something they call Christmas Chile which is exactly that although calling Chile salsa isn't quite right. The bummer is I just ate (literally two days ago) the rest of the home made Chorizo I had in my freezer. Doesn't mean I couldn't make more though.
  9. Just asking, not trying to start anything, but if this is so why is there such hate for the Hifonics amps that does 80% of their sad total wattage? Why is there so much hate for a 1990 Daewoo and not for a 1990 Honda? Now add the fact that amplifiers do NOT have any sort of standardized testing...and you think its funny there is hate for a budget brand that will cut any corner possible to meet a price point?? A better question would be why are you defending a compromise? To me I'd much rather have a used piece of real electronics versus a new complete compromise. What do you think the difference between a $50 headunit and a $300 headunit is if you aren't using any of the processing nor amplification? Do I need to go on? Where do you get i think its funny from? I dont think paying for an amp rate at 2000 watts and getting an amp that puts out 1700 watts is funny in no way. I want what I paid for. Ive never or will ever own a Hifonics amp and am not defending anything the company makes. You said expect 80%, then when am amp puts out that 80% then its a bad amp. Like i said earlier, am not trying to start anything, but if thats what you expect out of an amp dont call it shit when it does that 80%, simiply. funny - websters dictionary, definition 3: warranting suspicion; deceitful; underhanded: We thought there was something funny about those extra charges. Your "asking" sounded like defending. I don't understand your premise of 80% being bad, but not calling it shit. I thought we were discussing amps not grammer here but if it makes you feel better and to end it, your right. lol We weren't discussing grammar. You asked for clarification on the funny comment so I gave it. I don't even know what you think I am right about as I don't at all understand your question. You are contradicting yourself in the posts above.

  12. Any particular type of sausage? Do you cook the biscuits on the grill or just grill them after they are cooked?

Anyone have any good places to get some foie gras here? I always bring it back from Europe, but am out. Somehow this talk of food made me want some along with a glass of a nice dry champagne.

It is the one meal that I don't normally hop into other cultures for. I have had a ton of Japanese breakfasts and surely dig Huevos Rancheros I also like the Russian cold salads and European cold cuts, but am all over the place right now.

Really interested in all your favorites, not serious recommendations. The best thing that could come out of the thread is for me to try to do something new that I haven't eaten, I'd love that. Also craving an avocado on toast. <--obviously hungry

Thanks. As stated, I am completely open. My backup plan is to go to the co-op and see what looks fresh and go from there. Right now I'd like some seafood benedict though...
  19. Currently my plan is to do something over the top. There is pretty much nothing that I am scared to make and haven't made, but thought that asking what other peoples favorites are might sway me to do something different. If breakfast isn't your thing, brunch options also work
  20. And what is dumb, when you do you get great responses. Super easy.

    Anyone with breakfast ideas?
  22. Just like the title says, if you could have anything for breakfast this Christmas morning what would it be? I am having my family over and while I have some ideas I was hoping that you guys could help me take it over the top. Thank you.
