No rears at all FTMFW! True, but I drive a Yukon XL. People in the back appreciate me being able to fade something other than 2 15" woofers their way. I keep it faded to the front riding solo. Only because your front stage doesn't integrate right with your sub. Size of vehicle doesn't matter, but not having enough front stage does. Your other option would be to just turn your sub down, which for SQ (your comment above) will be better for sure.

Depends on the conditions of "when & how". As requested already some more details of what your typical use will be would help a ton. For instance if it is all at idle, an HO or 2 might not at all be the right choice. Curious as to how you set your gains as well, not that it caused your trouble directly.

Actually as I stated in the other thread, I flat out HATE driving without one and use one 100% of the time. The detector helps me be more attentive which does make me a better driver. All other logic aside it is most definitely the case. Common sense rant: Let's make it fucking illegal to drive in the passing lane if you aren't passing and at the same time make it illegal to pass in the right lane. Dipshits driving slow in the left lane cause more of a mess than even a dipshit with a detector driving too fast.

What frequencies did it lower the output on and how did you measure it? i believe the 30 +/- to 50 +/- hz. range if i had to guess by ear, and that is all that i had to go by, was my ear. there was no loudness to it what so ever. i was not even the least bit motivated to test very long at all. i tried a few tracks, checked my settings, tried one more time and said forget it. the lows were better, and part of the problem could of very well been that i had just left Louisville the day before, Shizzzon's ride might have still had my ears ringing, i don't think it was that though. I asked because of course the Polyfill will make the box "think" its larger. Your answer of "fail" isn't so appropriate either as it only failed in your application and I don't want others reading your thread to get the wrong idea. Of course using it in a ported box isn't straightforward and generally should be avoided unless you are ready to do a lot of experimenting.

I am an attentive driver, but I am more attentive if I am speeding or stretching the law in any other way. So what happens when I am not? I tend to spend more time on the phone, might be looking things up in the GPS, changing the radio stations etc. While I'll be the first to admit this isn't good period, considering this is a car audio forum I bet playing with music is pretty commonplace on here. So that being said, I am most attentive when I "need" my radar detector most. Does this mean the detector makes me a better driver, not directly but I am a better driver while I am using it for its intended purpose. I will also say that even when I am distracted by doing other things having it go off will cause me to re-focus on the task at hand and improve my attentiveness.
