Welcome to the IHoP
And it does nothing. It's better just to give them fluids and control the fever with children's Tylenol. Took Gavin a week to get over that shit. He still has the sniffles and is slightly warm, but his molars are also coming through. Most flu/seasonal/normal vacinations will cause fever too. H1N1 is only a big deal because it has the posibility of spreading really fast and for what ever reason it's affecting the kids much much more than other flu strains. Actually I disagree. It is perceived to spread because they will prescribe the solution for it when ANY possible symptom of it occurs. If you read on the CDC it will become obvious this is a scare tactic that is being used to encourage government healthcare. And damnit its effective The conundrum is always if something happens and you don't do what is recommended you will never forgive yourself.

I hate medicating, but if I am wrong and something happened I'd be even more upset.

What slope are you using? You sure the crossover is active? That tweeter is robust and with an Fs of 550 *IIRC* it should have 0 issues at 2.5k can not remember the slope at the moment want to say its 12. The tweeter still plays it just sounds like poo You guys have bad luck with stuff.

Welcome to the IHoP
I hate that mine is boxed up. Don't feel bad, my shit is so ghetto. I have the 880 running into some POS soundstream amp I won on SIN a long time ago. It's a 2 channel amp running full range to a set of MLIs in the doors and some BG Neo 3s just setting in the kicks held in by magnetic force and crossed with a cap at 2K. The amp is mounted on the sub box (CV IT10s sealed in 1.2 cubes) which isn't even being used and is smashing around into all my tools in the trunk. I keep saying I'm going to get a new DD, so it's all just temporary, but I still haven't seemed to get rid of it. rofl

I had surgery on mine in 1990 from a soccer injury and it still hasn't come back all the way. Earlier this year my buddy woke up from surgery and looked down to see they did the wrong knee That should net him some cash at least. If not, he needs a better lawyer.

Foam sub box lining affecting tuning?
Going for SPL and tuning low are counterproductive. What do you listen to that requires said lows?

Midbass for front stage
I'd really like to understand your goals. Mixing a 6.5 with an 8 is not something I'd EVER do.
-
Midbass for front stage
$400 for a pair of 6's is high end Scan or Seas driver prices and it is a no brainer on which I'd choose. What exactly do you want to do?

1.25Khz with a 6, 12, 18, 24 db slope. I don't believe you can defeat it. Page 62 in the manual. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Unassigned+Content/ci.DEHP880PRSOperationManual.Protected Correct, you can defeat the mid cross not the high. My memory sucks although I must say I am not sure why you'd want to defeat the hp.

Midbass for front stage
The Peerless SLS is a hell of a budget driver for that freq range, but mixing them (or any midbass) with 6.5's doesn't make sense and definitely not with 2 sets.

Welcome to the IHoP
IIIRC you can run it full range, but I haven't tried below 1kHz so you should double check.

Midbass for front stage
Used none, heard and compared a few. They all fit in niche's that compromise one set of performance for another. Depends on your install goals of course. How high do your midbass drivers have to play?

Install is the key though. Personally I am not a fan of Scott's drivers. Not that they don't sound good, but for the price I'd spend my money elsewhere. Note I am not at all knocking his install capabilities as he has proven those to the nth.
