  4. Sounds to me like you are more concerned with looks than performance, if so, go for it.

Now I have to cheat and pull the 220v from my range out into the garage. Can't cook and saw at the same time but that is unlikely anyways. Plus I suppose the saw pulls 12A and its a 40A circuit. Just can't use more than 1/2 the rangetop while sawing.

How many different ones? Rip, Kerf, General, Ply and so on. Any preference for a particular blade for a particular activity? I'll need something for hardwood, ply, and MDF to begin with. I realize this is wide open and not a good question, but I've never owned a real wordworking tool before Freud & Forrest would be pushed here, but I live near Rockler HQ so that is no surprise.
  14. The 8" sub/midbass and 3" fullrange is still a 2 way. Comment wasn't to mount them as close as possible to each other, but as on axis.
  15. NO, NOT AT ALL. What you meant to say was that at 700w they will be fine and until you get to 1400w you WON'T EVEN HEAR A DIFFERENCE, so it would be pointless to upgrade to 1000w from 700w unless you are chasing the meter and not your ears.
  16. You don't calculate, but measure. You'll need a DMM for the voltage along with a current clamp for the current.

R2, if you were to buy some blades for my saw what would they be? *anyone else with an opinion I'd love to hear as well, but thought the resident shop junkie might be opinionated

I can directional hear 50Hz, so ie you shouldn't use midbasses for that application but subs. Easy enough to make an IXL play into the 150Hz range. Way better solution if you just want output from the rear.

I could use a new saw... The wife has been on me about getting another sled. I would like to get 2 new ones and head west and do some riding this winter. Me to. I am down to one since the w was pregnant last winter. Now she isn't sure she "needs" a replacement, in particular this year since she doesn't think she can leave Aidan. Damnit, I knew I shouldn't have sold it.

MLV really is what you want, now where you get it doesn't matter at all. Someone on here will tell you differently, but alas that would be expected.
  24. your math is as bad as your reading. there are 48 1/4" pieces in 12", not 4. lol
